but im thinking that they need to come out with a multi-player where link can team up with a girl, and they get close and all...(bla bla bla)
link needs a woman who can fend for herself, and aid him along the way (way more than zelda did)

what do you think?

all the moderators who are zelda*link supporters are gonna kill me...

Well, what about Mario? He saves Peach all the time, excpt for that DS game.

Zelda games have a different storyline every time, like how in Ocarina of Time Zelda was Shiek which helped her.

Please do not triple-post. If nobody has posted after you, simply edit your latest post.

And, uh, Sheik (sp?) was Zelda in disguise. Very much not a man.
dont you think that the themes of the zelda games are getting old, having to save zelda all the time and all... personally im getting sick of it...
I'd wager that around 95% of adventure games are about Saving the World, and along the way Saving Character X, regardless of the names/design of the characters/world. I expect you to be burned out of the whole genre if your complaint is that the basic plot mechanisms are repetitive.

We had a thread about this a while ago, if you want to search for it.

Why yes, it has absolutely nothing to do with a weak argumentation on your part. It's totally because of other people being blind brainwashed zealots. You have totally convinced me.

(ETA: and you consider the two polite responses you've received so far "bashing"?! WTF? )

I didn't know they were considered an actual "couple", Zelda kissed Link on the cheek in one of the games, right? :v Not that I'm doubting the canonical support this couple has, it's just..I'm somewhat doubtful of Zelda considering Link to be her "Man" and vice versa. o_o

Well excuse me princess~

I think it's generally suggested among the Nintendo gaming community and (not often, but still...) in the series itself that Zelda and Link seem to have a bond closer than friendship.

And Shiek doesn't really have a gender. It's denoted that it's a chick but it doesn't have any womanly features (it's missing boobs) and often quite a manly voice.

And to the author of this thread: actually, an image of the Twilight Princess incarnation of Zelda depicts her holdin a rapier of sorts. Leading many fans to believe that she might (dare I say it) defend herself! 8O

I must agree. Most games are about saving someone or the world of this or that or it's about saving your own life. The only games that aren't almost always about saving the world/yourself/someone are fighting and race games.

And even than they might have a "save the world" theme. Crash Nitro Kart anyone?

Indeed. Maybe that's just what appeals to the NA rpg fan community, though.

I've played lots of RPGs that weren't about saving the world... my favourites are the ones centered around something like the main character has amnesia and they want to regain their memory. SNEX <3

I'm a sucker for RPG cliches. D:

No, your original post was boring so we expanded it to a more discussion-oriented topic. Otherwise your thread would have been closed by now because all it did was complain about Zelda.
