My parents don't expect anything of my sister, but they expect a bit from me. Not for me to be perfect, though.

Actually, I don't fight much with them, but I do call them things as jokes. I tell my mom "Make me food, woman!" and she does o_O
But...why not just say nicely that you have other things to do?

because some parents think that because they where who brought you to this world you are one of their belongins (hope I spell it right)

that we r just an inversion to THEIR future, and that is whay u have to be perfect with no buts in the middle

And that's the exact reason they get so angry when you rebel and disobey. The key is to be on their level. They ask you to do something for them, but if you are sincere and mention you really don't feel like doing it, or you have something else that you have to do...then they won't get so angry.

ok, I think it depends on the kind of parents u have, for me it works my way, but it seems that Kitzy has his own way so I asked a friend of mine and she said that if that happened to her she would probably call some of her friends to watch the movie and share her pain.

so like 3 different points,

fight, surrend or share your pain <_<

Yeah, if you're not too fond of the neighbourhood, sticking with your dad would be best. Besides, there is still that small chance you'll like the movie...
It happened with me when I watched Saw. Didn't want to see it, but I ended up liking it. Same with James and the Giant Peach.

Yeah, there is always that. it quite religious apparently (<_<) And RE was never exactly my "No.1 favourite" lesson. In fact it only beat Maths because you got to wrote creatively in it.
