Lone Playstation 2

Waste of 70 dollars, (my sister and mom (who wanted a dvd player)) pooled in money, and I got something like 20 hours of it since last last christmas. T.T

Yah. Of all the second gen consoles, I just have the PS2. Don't have the money to buy much more than just one console and its various accessories (wtf @ memory card prices).

Anyone and everyone who knows my knows that all I play are strategy games, rpgs, and sims. Oh yeah, and the good ol' action/adventure games. :3

Ok, so we have a mix of Adventure, First Person Shooter, Platformer, RPG, Stealth Action, Horror, Hack n' Slash, Real Time Strategy...

I mean, this is a pretty diverse list here, so at this point I just want to know what kind of games you DO play, because the only genres I'm missing from this list is sims, fighting games, racers and sports.

On second though, why the hell am I even trying to please you? These are the types of games I enjoy, and I noticed that the genres I left out are the ones that don't interest me (besides sims, I love a good sim ^_^ )

But really, what type of games do you enjoy?

Mmm... kinda missed racing altogether. And xbox has a bevy of good racers. PGR2, Rallisport 2, Moto GP (series... it's a different developer from the ps2 moto gp's... and it's one of the fastest racers I've played). Then there's Forza... which is alright. The customizing is fun.

There's also fighting. Which is dominated by the DOA series But Guilty Gear and Street Fighter anniversary collection both go online on the xbox. So gotta give some kudos for that. And Soul Calibur 2 is prettier on the xbox and the cube (Namco bumped up the polies for those systems... so those versions do look better than the ps2 version). That's also why they only developed the 3rd game for PS2 I'm sure.

Anyway, I'm just adding to VR's list, cause I think the xbox has the bases covered. Not just FPS's.

I actually have more than one of those. I have an Xbox, 3 Gameboys (the giant bulky old one that I suddenly can't remember the name of, Advance and SP), and a Nintendo 64. I'm also hoping to get a Gamecube, a PS2 and an Xbox 360. TT3TT

Maybe it's just that I don't go for the FPS genre anymore, moved on to other things.

Here, allow me to sort my list for you:

[i]Genres I like often (and usually with few exceptions):[/i]
- Action/platformer (Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, Jak, Mario, Spyro, etc.)
- Action/Adventure (e.g. Zelda, Metroid Prime*)
- Action/RPG (Kingdom Hearts, etc.)

[i]Genres I like sometimes:[/i]
- Puzzle games (Tetris, Dr. Mario, etc.)
- RTS
- Action games (LOTR, Viewtiful Joe, etc.)
- Racing ('kart' racing more so than 'traditional' racers)
- Turn-based RPG
- Action/Arena fighting (e.g. Super Smash Bros.)

[i]Genres that have maybe one or two games I like, but otherwise which I have no interest:[/i]
- FPS/3PS (e.g. Descent, SW:DF2:Jedi Knight)

[i]Ratings/Advisories I tend to look for in a game:[/i]
- E10 and T. The M rating... most of those games just look too dark.

* (Yes, Retro Studios does insist that MP is Action/Adventore, not FPS.)

Huh, if you notice I only have 6 FPS out of 20 games I named, so I'm still not sure why you keep bringing up FPS.

I used to have a PS2 but my brother sold it off just so he can get an XBOX.Quite Ironic when some of the games we bought are also release on the PS2.

Let's see... The only game console that I can actually say belongs to me is my GBA SP.
My brother has one also, and my other brother has a GBA. Then we have a PS2 that we all use.
I'm not getting a PS3 until they remake FFVII for it. LOL. Like that'll ever happen.

I have an XBox and XBox 360. I am loving my XBox console, but I hope to get some more games for the 360 soon, as I only have Dead or Alive 4 for that console. Really, the XBox was the only console I got pure satisfaction from... Playstation was too iffy, GameCube didn't cut it for me, but XBox has Dead or Alive and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Those game titles=bliss 8)
