Mine can. I don't know what it is. But it's usually the more deep, complicated and mutli level animes that i get into the easiest. The more dead brain easy stuff like Inuyasha, eh, alright. But it's just not something to compare to Ghost In The Shell.

I really want to find out about the kid, or more or less guy, who was in the last episode i saw. Not sure if anyone else saw it or if it's the one they'll be showing this weekend on Adult Swim. If you haven't, don't read. But when they go into the hospital of sorts for people who technologically mentally messed minds. They have these not so normal but extremely talented kids who can't function in the outside world yet are creating some of the strongest barriers ( i know that's not the word but my brain is dead) that even the government takes up for protection against hackings and such.

It's so weird but it's a great episode. It shows how the hospital is corrupt. And it goes deeper into the laughing man, and even leads you to believe that maybe the young man in the wheel chair is connected closely to the laughing man, or is perhaps, the laughing man himself.

the style of anime is really ground breaking. Mixing 3-D effects (stand alone complex) and anime, not the cheap kind, like inu-yasha (if you look at the back ground it never changes. plus the colors are to bright) music is preformed by *insert name here* a real music legend. if i wasnt on house arrest i would be able to buy the manga's. i can download the episodes...*cough* as long as i delete them in 24 hours. http://www.aftermathanime.com or something like that. just google search aftermath.
The story is compelling, unique in so many ways. many views, many secrets. And laughing man story is ingeniuos!
the game is nice too. allowing you to use mulitible members of Section 9 and all their futuristic technology. (cyber brain hack)
edit: thanks for the sig lasher! its awsome!

Eh? Oh yeah, your welcome. Feel free to replace it with something new. Just don't have anything bigger than specified or i'll leave the same sig again Wink Thanks.

I think i got the next DVD today from netflix. I was in and out the door to work to look though. And it's going on 11:30 now and i have to get some sleep so i doubt i'll have the energy to go looking for it to check, where my mother might have put it. Eh *shrugs* I won't get to watch it until this weekend on sunday probably the way my schedule is set

Yeah, they pretty much rock. Something about a broken hearted man, and spirits rising....and another about being cool and humid, which apparently is something humans do.

At any rate, how can I get a hold on those songs? They're pretty good. I ain't using Kazaa, because it's terrible...and yourmp3 doesn't have it. Can you give it to me, or something.

And they called that kid the "Sarge". What he wrote on the baseball glove was a hint as to who the Laughing Man might be...but the character hasn't been introduced as of yet. But he holds a connection to the "Sarge."

I love the complex story plots. It's what makes it such a good anime. There isn't any of those crazy faces, like you see on Ruroni Tenshin or Inuyasha.

And those Shells have such cute child-like voices. It's awsome.

Well, the site i got mine off said that since the songs on it were "rare" the company allowed them to download it. google search anime adrenaline
inner universe lyrics (animelyrics.com)
Angels and demons were circling above me
Breaking the hardships and starry ways*
The only one who doesn't know the happiness
is the one who couldn't understand his call
I am Calling Calling now, Spirits rise and falling
To stay myself longer...
Calling Calling, in the depth of longing
To stay myself longer...
Stand alone... Where was life when it had a meaning...
Stand alone... Nothing's real anymore and...
Endless run...
While I'm alive, I can try not to fall while flying,
Not to forget how to dream... how to love
...Endless run...
Calling Calling, For the place of knowing
There's more that what can be linked
Calling Calling, Never will I look away
For what life has left for me
Yearning Yearning, for what's left of loving
To stay myself longer...
Calling Calling now, Spirits rise and falling
To stay myself longer...
Calling Calling, in the depth of longing
To stay myself longer...
lithium flower is in english. It actually is a surfing song.
Well, i got up to the 3rd DVD disc for the series. The 4th should be on the way. I think i need to go add the others. But for some reason i keep thinking there's only 4 DVD's. But that can't be right. There's the normal 26 episodes for the series and there's only 4 eps a DVD.
The DVD Boxed set (4 cd's) was one the best purcahses I made.

It included commentaries from the creators, the seiyuu's and has the Tachikoma special.

I'm just waiting for the boxed set of GITS: SAC 2nd Gig to come out.

It's partly in Russian because the singer is Russian. I forget how to spell her name but the music director for the series knew of her and all her works previously and always wanted to work with her. Then she made the opening theme song and found that her voice would have been perfect.

I love the opening theme song and the singers voice. It's very much to my style/liking.

And yeah, i really do like the anime that much. It is a mature anime that is very real unlike InuYasha. They have death and such in it but they make it look less real and like it really doesn't hurt or have much effect. While in Ghost In The Shell, makes it very real and shows just how real and sick the situations can be. You may not think about it, but things like that do happen. There are murderers that go around skinning people alive, etc etc. They take real life into account and show the effects of it through their characters and throughtout the whole anime.

One of the reasons i love it so much.

And i don't think the ending to the second movie is confusing at all. SPOILERHe reconnects with the major after she leaves in the first movie, having combined with another and become more advance so to speak and free from the government. And you learn that she has been watching him and the others all long. Making sure they're alright and when he Batou really needs it, she helps him and in the end, lets him know that she's always there watching him and with him even if he doesn't see or hear her.

It's my favorite anime movie by far. ^_^

It's a virus or hacking of sort. Like the one Batou had when he shot up the grocery store thinking someone was there and after him and such. And his partner gets to him just in time to keep him from actually killing someone.

etc etc. That sort of thing. I'd watch it a few times and you'll get it.

Did anyone just watch that episode of GITS:SAC 2nd Gig called Affection? Normally GITS episodes are just a little too serious and emotionally detached for my taste, but Affection was different.

Spoilers

The whole episode had a very "Spirited Away" feeling to it b/c of Motoko being pulled into a world other than reality. I mean one minute she was training new recruits for Section 9 and the next all communication to Section 9 was cut off and she's drawn into this old flea market like shop where they keep people's memories...so weird...but the idea of it really appeals to me. Then the episode went on to actually explain Motoko's childhood story and all it was all so sad...I actually cried...I guess there's a first time for everything. I just wish more episodes were as emotionally charged as this one...but then again GITS isn't exactly known for that kind of thing.

Does anyone else have a favorite GITS episode or favorite part from the manga?

I really enjoyed GITS. It was definately the most intelligent anime I have seen so far. The art is well done. The opening is always baffling me though. I can never figure out exactly which language it is in and whether the song makes any sense at all XD!

OMG, Ghost in the Shell. I watched that with my ultra-immature older brother, and he was like "porn! porn!" >.< What an idiot. I mean, even though there's nudity, there's an amazing story to it! And it's not even like those are real bodies; they were made, not born, so it's not really nudity.

That movie blew me away. I mean, I had been watching the series before I watched it, but when I watched the movie . . . it just explains a lot of things. I wished the Tachikomas had showed up, though. I love them, and I was so sad at what happened in the last episode of the second season. It really does make you think, doesn't it? I was just sitting in awe after that episode and the movie, thinking. The artwork is beautiful, and the songs . . . I'm obsessed with the songs.

Oh! If you need them, try and get LimeWire for your computer-with a DSL connection, it's very fast. I got the themesongs to the first and second seasons, "Inner Universe" and "Rise", which I absolutely love. I'm obsessed with them. ^_^
