FF VIII is my second favourite game, but, to me, nothing compares to FF IX! |

Wow. I suddenly got back to my addiction of Gran Turismo just last week. I don't play the series' games much, but it's one of my all-time favorites. Probably because I'm just a typical car junkie. The game made me passionate about cars. I still am. Thank you GT!
There's a new Vision GT on the PS3. That's the first PS3 game I'm gonna buy. _________________ --Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas. But of a humble heart, the Lord wil not scorn, and from its abundance the mouth speaks.

Chrono Trigger (SNES)
There's just something really special to me about this RPG. Maybe because it was one of my firsts. Pretty nice features to set it apart, like team-up attacks, and being able to see enemies before you fight them (and fighting them right on the map you were just exploring, instead of going to a seperate screen like most RPGs).
Time traveling was cool, and gave you a ton of secrets to uncover. The New Game + and multiple endings also added lots of replay value.
And the music! This was the first game I ever really loved the music of, and I still love it after all these years.
Alundra (PS1)
About as close as you can get to a non-Nintendo Zelda game. Alundra is almost a decade old now, I think. It was a 2D top-down action RPG, with challenging puzzles, long length (my save file has over 40 hours on it), great music, and a nice story.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon (PS1)
Holy bovine. This platformer has SO MUCH variety. You have around 6 playable characters, each controlling very differently, and having their own unique levels. There's tons of minigames, each done quite well and are very fun, like boxing, skateboarding, third-person shooting, first-person shooting, overhead/arcade style shooting (there's lots of shooting, but they're all done differently ), and so much more that I don't remember right now.
WWF Smackdown! 2 (PS1)
I played this game SO much. It has so much replay value because it's just so damn fun to play. Very fast, arcadey, pick-up-and-play style gameplay. It's all very simple, but you still have so much you can do.
Lots of different match types to try, and a HUGE backstage area to wrestle in.
And, creating your own character is tons of fun. You can customize their appearance a lot.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (PS2)
The combat is boring and repetitive, but the platforming is amazing. I have so much fun working my way through an area, trying to figure out where I'm supposed to go and how to get there, through the use of a bunch of funky acrobatics.
The atmosphere and overall feeling of the game is very nice too. And I found The Prince to be a very likeable character. They gave him a lot of personality.
Viewtiful Joe (PS2)
A very unique beat-em-up/platformer style game. The art style is great too; very comic book-ish. You can slow down time, speed up, or zoom in to solve puzzles and have more powerful attacks at your disposal. There's a pretty nice variety in the moves you can do.
Also some nice unlockables, like a bunch of extra characters to use. Devil May Cry fans are also treated to being able to play as Dante, which is pretty cool. _________________ Taku Bell: My Art and Games

Here's my current video game addiction so far (previous favorite was Evolution Worlds for almost two years... O__o)
Mario Golf - When the Game Boy Color version came out in 1999, I knew that was one of the games that I HAD to play. Unfortunately, I didn't own a Game Boy Color, so it was 2005 before I finally remembered that I wanted to play this game.
I went to a GameStop because I was bored with the games I had and wanted to buy an interesting game. I saw Mario Golf: Advance Tour on sale and saw that they had the characters making returning appearances from the GBC version and promptly bought it. I had to return to GameStop because they gave me the wrong game, but that's another story. I started playing and immediately got addicted to golfing games. It was a few months later when I got the GBC game as well. Eventually, I owned all the Mario Golf games (except Mobile Golf, since it wasn't released anywhere else besides Japan. Who, knows? Maybe they'll remake Mobile Golf before they end the GBA line (it'll be the last game released from Nintendo just like for the GBC... <__<__> )
For some reason, the human characters that appear in the GBC/GBA versions of the game and guest stars in the N64/GC versions are more interesting to me than the actual Mario characters so I tend to do fanart and fancomics for them... ^__^;
I'm also addicted to the Hot Shots Golf games and I own them all (except for Tee Off! for the PSP, since I don't have a PSP yet...
Thanks for reading quite a long post about my addiction to Mario Golf games! =D Maybe I'll find someone else who likes Mario Golf, but meh. Only found one so far! ^__^; |

Metal Gear Solid-Arguably a game ahead of its time. Some of the best voice acting and cinematics to date. It also let you play as Solid Snake, one of the baddest mofos to ever grace the console.
Silent Hill 2- I love all the Silent Hill games but this is definitely my favorite. Such a fantastic story, acting, puzzles and gameplay. My heart was pounding with fear from beginning to end. Plus, F@$%ING PYRAMID HEAD!!!!!
Legend of Zelda Ocinara of Time- In my opinion the best in the series, It was one of the first games i got on my N64, and hooked me on games for the rest of my life.
There a great many others i could name, but these are my top three. |

Mario RPG is one of my favorites too. That game was very good! And Geno was an awesome character! Some other games that are also great are FFVII, StarOcean 3, and Zelda link to the past. FFVII has wonderful music, and the story line is excellent! In StarOcean 3, I like how there are battle trophies to collect. I love the alternate costumes! Especially the fourth ones. |

I just finished Star Ocean 3 recently. I couldn't collect the Battle Trophies 'cause I didn't have the free space left on my memory card though. _________________ Taku Bell: My Art and Games

I like Final Fantasy, like most people on this thread. My favorite one is probably VII becuase of it's storyline, but VIII is right behind it, only lagging 'cause I can't stand the combat sytem. ;;; Others...
Golden Sun I and II (GBA): I don't know what was with this game, but the second I started playing I couldn't put it down. The engaging sidequests, weapons, and battle systems along with a refreshing storyline just made it an awesomely addictive game. And the huge plot twist you discover in the second game...ouch.
ICO (PS2): This game is just art, 'nuff said...or not. ^_^ This simplicity of it is so refreshing and the deep bond that you (Ico) form with Yorda just made me feel like I had to save her, and feel terrible when I failed. A videogame's never done that for me before.
We Love Katamari (PS2): What to say...it's like cotton candy for your eyes. So colorful and hilariously stupid, and the additional multiplayer feature (though buggy) made for tons of wierd comments between me and my friends.
Could name so many more...but no. _________________ 'Cause this would just be anticlimactic, wouldn't it?

I do, probably the best series (that I've played) ever made. The graphics were good, the physics were good, the weapons were great, the gameplay was fun, the storyline was simply amazing, and the music was awesome. Great games, overall great series. _________________ There is no defeat in death. Victory comes from fighting for the things we believe in while we live.

On some online games I am known as Sgt. No One, on other online games, I am known as Leviathan. So if you see Sgt No One, or Leviathan, chances are its me.

I play mostly first-person shooters on the PC. So far, the best first person i have played was F.E.A.R. That was a freaky and intese game. Also exremely well put together. I give it a ten out of ten.
I mostly play online with some cool friends, though. |

Sonic Heroes is my favorite game of all, mainly because of the fact that the team members talk in this order: speed-type, fly-type, power-type. _________________ |

This is just speculation, but I predict Gears of War to be one of my soon-to-be favorites. One of my roomies pre-ordered it, so we will be playing the co-op campaign the day its out. Score one for me. _________________

I remeber like a year ago when denis posted a link to a "preview"of the game Spore
the game looked incredible then and still does now, imo
recently found the link again by accident and was reminded of the game
