i'm planning on getting photoshop, and i'm kinda stuck. theres clearly a huge price differenct between photoshop and photoshop elements, and i know people say how elements has everything you could possibly actually need etc.

so does it have all of the basic painting tools like in photoshop? or is it a bit more limited even with them?thats basically all i would want it for, plus the extra occasional image editing stuff and moving things about! it would be helpful if anyone had any links and info about it, thanks

Yes, Elements II has everything you'll need for digital painting. The only thing it's lacking is some filters (which you should never use anyway) and settings for large scale commercial printing.
