Robotnik has made it pretty fucking obvious throughout the entire series he hated to be called that, and yet he starts calling himself Dr. Eggman in SA2? Doesn't seem right to me, he doesn't seem like the type to give into something as petty as that.

I agree...I find it weird too. The clone thing makes more sense than him suddenly deciding he likes being an egg.

Okay...I don't get why they kept making new Sonic characters.
I played the original game and watched the original series. There was only Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik, and some female one I can't remember.

Why did they have to make cheap ripoffs of Sonic? Shadow? This angers me.

You're either looking at the old Amy Rose or Sally Acorn, depends entirely. If you're talking about the games, chances are it was Amy Rose, who first made her appearance in Sonic CD.

Comics? That might be Sally Acorn then. *shrugs* I dunno, there were a lot of females in the comics. Sally Acorn, Mina the Mongoose and Julie-su the Echidna, just to name a few.

People have a grudge against him because he's unoriginal...they should have come up with someone who had powers that contrasted Sonic's, at least.
They just got lazy.

Yay for Bigg.

I don't like Tails `cause he's one of the originals, I like him just because he's a great character on his own. They can make all the new characters they want, as long as they're GOOD CHARACTERS. That's why I don't like some of the "new" characters--a lot of them aren't there because they, as characters, are needed. They're just there because somebody needs their abilities. Tails can fly--oh, we must make more flying characters! Knuckles can punch--oh, we must make more punching characters! --.--

Tails is cute and fluffy and smart and naive and funny and kinda dumb all at the same time. Plus he spins.

Shadow has merit by that qualification as well, I think. Sonic's pretty full of himself (sorry, but he is). To have somebody like Shadow, who is equally arrogant and equally talented, break onto the field with him is kind of a shock to Sonic. That's good.

Characters can't JUST be there for their abilities or their coolness rating. They have to have some bearing on the game itself.
