That's a silly question. Most people can speak at least one additional language besides their first language and it's usually English because most of the business world conducts itself in English. "If you wanna get anywhere [i]big[/i] in life, you have to know English." Most foreign industrialized countries commonly teach English as a second language in elementary/high school.

That's a dumb question, why should people speak only one language?

over 50 percent of the world is a bilingual or higher, English tends to be a popular choice for a second language because there's already many people from across the world who speak it.

English isn't too hard, but it's not easy either. The grammar and the alphabet is relatively simple, except for pronunciation rules.
