i thought it was great! this was my favourite book, also, so i was a little disappointed that they made it so short, but overall it was excellent. the scenery was better and the little additions like the pebble throwing were cool. the dementors and other effects were done very well, also! i wish he hadn't cut out the other quidditch games tho. they completely took out oliver wood, and this was his last book. i believe there were more visits to hogsmeade in the book, also, but i can't quite remember... i could be thinking of the 4th one. and didn't he meet cho chang in the third book? not a major character yet, but still important for the next two

That's because it SHOULD have been longer.

Did anyone notice that Lupin NEVER SAID why he knew it was a map? I mean, wouldn't Harry be the LEAST BIT CURIOUS?!?!? *cough* Yeah...well...

It was my favorite of all the movies, mainly because it was my favorite of all the books. (I'm a Harry/Hermione freak....) ^.^

My favorite thing was that I was watching it with my best friend, and the part where Hermione fell on top of Harry (around the time they tried to rescue Ron....
Hermione: *whump* Er...Sorry...
My friend Coco: RIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.

oO; People in the FRONT ROW turned around and looked at us....Oo;

great points, pepsi. yea i was surprised but gary oldman did do a great job. and i felt the exact same way about lupin's mustache. the whole movie i just kept thinking "shave it off, please shave it off". he's one of my favourite characters, too. and yes! neville was sooo different! a lot skinnier. i thought it was a different actor at first.

and remko, about the lupin not telling harry the origin of the map-thing, i read an article about the movie and it said that cuaron cut the explanation out b/c he felt it'd be better to leave it for a later movie, to add more mystery to the map or something. *shrugs* since most people already know about the map's origin, i guess it doesn't make much of a difference when it's explained. i do wish they'd kept that part for the 3rd movie tho. i liked that part.

My friend has the hots for Gary Oldman. She bought that shirt with his face on it. I'm in no place to criticize her for it, but....I mean most of my boys aren't exactly the cleanest people in the world, but holy crap.... Rolling eyes
-What was just so-so:
-The werewolf. Looked kinda funky, but was cool nevertheless
-Remus. I didn't like his moustache and for some reason that made me kinda iffy about him (even tho he is one of my fave characters)
- The Knight Bus ... in a few trailers there were some hilarious parts which weren't in the movie. Disappointing, but oh well.
- Peter Pettigrew... could they have picked a freakier person to play him?! o.0 he did pretty good, tho

What I disliked:
- Since they cut out alot, I was disappointed. I think it could have been at least five minutes longer.
- Hermione's "punch". Too fake. Like... seriously... do a slap like it had said in the books!
- The cutting out of the Quidditch Cup. :(

Neville looks SO much different in this movie, hey? :P

I wanna see it again... :(
Hm..do I sense spoilers? Yes..yes I do...
oops..... >_>
-Admit it. Werewolf=fake
-What WAS with that mustache? I mean...it looked really...oO; Stupid...It didn't say ANYTHING about a mustache in the book. *scowl*
-Er...shrunken head? Creeped me out.
-Anyone watch Whose Line is it Anyway? Collin Mockery was the guy I always thought could play Petter Pettigrew. I know it sounds silly, but I was kinda dissappointed when it wasn't him....*sigh*

-Five minutes? Try two hours. The Firebolt was supposed to be introduced WAAAAAAAAAAAAY before...like in chapter six or something. And REMUS WAS SUPPOSED TO EXPLAIN WHY HE KNEW IT WAS A MAP! I'm sorry, but that just REALLY pissed me off. That was really really important. And dude-the stag was there for a second. Any explination? Nope. *shrug* The whole patronus and map thing could have been SO much better.
-Now THAT made me angry. I mean, come on! It's Wood's last year, remember? That's a big deal! And what do they do? They cut him out completely! It's Scottish Descrimentation, that is. (
Now Neville...Neville got hot. I mean DAMN. oO; Where'd all his baby fat go?

I actually saw this today. Last day of school, bro had a shitload of friends over that I didn't feel like being around, and my friends were going...again...with another friend of mine who also doesn't like Harry Potter. So we were annoyed together, but at least it was something to do.

I don't know any of the character names, so I'll try to make it clear who I'm talking about.

~ all in all, the movie quality-wise was alright. Not my thing, as I already knew, but it didn't suck on a technical level.

~ I didn't like the chick. She got on my nerves. But then the bright eyed and bushy tailed little miss perfects always do. It was painfully obvious she didn't actually punch the guy. I was cracking up, even more with the line "nice punch".

~ Those twins were kinda cute. (I was bored with the story, what else was I supposed to pay attention to?)

~ I wasn't bothered by the mustache. It was no more stupid looking than a lot of other parts. Rolling eyes

~ Alan Rickman is god. I love just about anything he does, and this is no exception. The only thing that could ever make me sit through the first movies would be him. And that was a good character for him (I think, wouldn't know if he portrays him properly, I guess). Except I never found him scary, only thinking to myself "you can punish me...I've been naughty..." Just forget the fact I was teasing my friend about what's his face. At least Alan is clean in the movie. Razz

~ It is a kiddie movie. No matter how many people try to convince me otherwise, it's about little friggin' wizards. A few scary monsters and uses of the word "hell", but the whole story and script is very much a kiddie movie. I'm sure it appeals to those fantasy loving older people, too, but in the sense of who it's directed at...it's a kiddie movie. End. Now leave me alone and let me read about Nikki Sixx shooting heroin between his toes while you read about your little wizard. Wink

I kinda got distracted by *cough* Alan Rickman *cough*, so I only noticed for a second. But now I won't be surprised if he shows up in my gallery in the not so far off future. Certainly not something HP influenced, Dogma perhaps...

What was the WTF? for, though? I told you I haven't read the books, seen the flicks, or have any interest in it all whatsoever. Razz
Alan Rickman is god
*nods* he totally is. i love that guy- one of my favourite actors. ooo that'd be awesome if you drew him! i hope you do. and yea he was great in dogma. hehe so funny. he's also wonderful in sense and sensibily and truly madly deeply, if you've ever seen those. especially the latter- a very sad but beautiful movie. simple, but in a good way. i gotta buy that one soon...

and random faces...? sorry i don't do smilies. too much energy required to lift my fingers from the keyboard and click one on the list thing... er... *smiles dorkily*

Oh. *grumbles* I did too. What's the point in putting it into a LONGER movie? I mean, Christ...if they put it in the fourth one it's gonna last a whole DAY.
Ehh, I wouldn't say he's hot but he sure looks a hell lot better than the previous movies!

Did I mention anything about Trelawney's prediction? ....... no, I don't think so.......
It was a bit odd, I think. I wish they just put her in some sort of .... ehh... normal trance

...

ok, what I meant was that I hate it when they add that stupid voice effect that makes the voices go low and echo-y and robot-ish......

Just make her look doped up and it woulda been fine... <_<
*shrug* I have wierd taste in men. I say, Neville turned out to be a sexy SOB.

The prediction scared the SH*T outa me. I'm serious. I'm expecting her voice to go flat and instead she grabs his sholder and sounds like she's having a heart attack. oO;
