I guess if I could sum up my art style in a word or a phrase it might be:

Randomly Anime.

: D I don't do the hard lines. it's been called basic and bright (in a complementative way). A lot of people go through the "dark" stage of anime, you know the whole "gothic" bullshit (pardon?) that they like to flip out in the world. My art is like, ::splash.:: in j00 face with some pie and some cakes. Now come back later and I might have something better up. xD

I love flowing lines. Someone complemented me on that fact. That I don't have scritty lines that looks like chicken scratchings. You know what I'm talking about. I like blending colors too... Has anyone tried that? Where you start with one color and which to a whole different color and then switch back to the first color?

It's awesome. : D

*sigh* I wish I had my own style...I'm so accustomed to drawing what I see. Some say that I have a style, but it's still based on anime (cross between Sailor Moon and Yu Yu Hakusho). I want a style outside of anime, but it's hard to make one that I haven't already seen. Plus, I've never been one to stick with one thing; I always move around in whatever medium, subject, etc.

Eventought anime has left it's marks on my style, it is still unique as i have improved my skill enough to think that it isn't same as anyone elses. Improvement, however, is what i want to make, and i can see that when i compare old and new. Yes.. that is what i need on humans and human-like creatures, but usage of pencil and color pencils are their own story.

I have no unique style. If you look at my gallery, it is COMPLETELY random, from realism to weird anime or cartoon.

Style is what comes naturally to someone after they keep on drawing. When they look at what they did in their style, they like it. They keep drawing that way and it creates a pattern. It doesn't always have to be exactly the same style as long as its based upon it.

I guess I just have to experiment until I find a style I really really like.

The journey to find the mythical Style is long and arduous, but the treasure is beyond compare. zazjoomm.

Well If I had to say a UNIQUE style then yes, I have a unique style. BUt not with anime or manga like DBZ doujinishi not like that at all. Mostly in the good NA old school cartoons and some that have been cancelled (IZ for example), or old time classics like Tom and Jerry, or The jetsons. But rather than to just split hairs of the different variations of drawings I do, I consider myself multi talented by being able to have a warped style that you can tell is the topic im drawing about, but not so unbelievably warped it looks like an entirley different cartoon. For example, if you had drawn Fred Flintstone in an IZ kind of style, you would see some similarities, but not most of them. But the majority of the time, people dont draw the EXACT, down to the point, every detail style as the original creator/ artist of the cartoon series or manga or whatever you read or watch. They draw in their own comfotrable style that suts them the best and makes it easier for them to draw. I mean, if you tried to draw everything detail for detail, it might take you hours or minutes depending on your individual skill level. Usually, you leave the pants detail out or something like that, or make the out line thicker to gie it that cartoony look. Anywho, that pretty much covers my part of this discussion, It was very nice to see other peoples posts, tips and links. Have a nice day. All of you there reading this on FAC. Good luck, good drawing, and for now, good night ^^.

How depressingly true.

My art style keeps changing. I wish it wouldn't. As much as I like my current art style, I just know it's going to change again.

That's good. If you style keeps changing, for certain drawers, artists, or even authors, a change of style could mean that you are just drawing towards the mood you are in, or it could be the music that you're listening to. Or it could be something else influencing your life in such a way it, in a way, persuades you to draw something. For example- If you were listening to a sad song, and you werent feeling to well about something either, wouldn't that provoke you to draw something according to your mood? You might draw something to cheer yourself up ^^. OR you might just let people around you know that you're sad by uploading a certain picture containing sadness. vv. But other than to get into the actual forms of sadness, joy and/or happiness involving styles of drawing, That's just it. Smile Just remember, and im talking to all artists when I say this, Just remember that even if you're art isnt worth squat to your friend, or to your mum or dad. The only person it will really matter to in the end will be you, because everything you draw, to yourself, is a master piece in which the body and soul are one to create such a thing that may influence others to do so, and that is why different styles of drawing are good. Why? You may ask. Why do you get so into things? Why waste the time? And I will answer those questions. The reason is because I care about my fellow artists and authors. Writing and art are my passion, which is why I continue to draw and write. And don't think i'm just typing this because I feel this way right now. Don't think im just another one of those people who writes passionate and devoting posts, but then couldn't care less then ext minute. I am always looking out for you guys. Even the webmaster ctsdenis. He looks out for us, so we need to do the same by keeping this sight nice and neat with beautiful works of art and detailed, vivid pictures of stories. Just think. And you'll know.
Good evening and those of you who may be stealing pictures out there, WATCH OUT Smile.
