Lots. I'm currently reading my bookshelves so i can get rid of a bunch of books before we move.
But currently I'm halfway through th' Cleopatra book in the Royal Diaries series, if anyone knows of it, partway through a book called 'Secret of the Sixth Magic' and probably at least a half-dozen others.
><
I've two bookshelves I need to get read. Double-stacked. And I have about 9 weeks in which to do it.

I just finished Jane Eyre. It was required summer reading for my English class next year, but it was wonderful-- if you skipped the preachy bits. |

I'm surprised this is still going!
I'm reading "A Long Way Down" by Nick Hornby. It's a great read! Written in first person from the perspective of four different people who come together, but otherwise would never have met up, on New Years Eve to jump off off the top of a tower block. Good book so far! I'm about half through it. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

I borrowed Angels and Demons from a friend.
I could tell that Brown wrote this before Da Vinci within the first two pages. And it wasn't because of content.
This is worse than the other book. Egad. <<
So I dropped it and ran to a different, better writer. Ah, Pratchett. <3 Reading "The Truth" - 8D Hilarious stuff but I think I like Wyrd Sisters more. Parody of Macbeth? I'M SO THERE! 8D |

Yeah, dan brown's books kinda annoy me now. :/
I wasted my money on that book. ;_;
Currently reading?
Vellum: the book of all hours
by Hal Duncan [I think...]
It'sa good. Demons and angels and all this whatnot. The writing is really good, though I've only started and I've no idea how the plotline's gonna go.
But stuff about fallen angels and rebel demons made that book just stick to my hand.
Bought at the airport. It'sa kinda big book, but it was worth the weight. X3 |

I'm reading "The Bourne Supremacy". It sucks. I started reading it because I'd read "The Bourne Identity", which was decent, but the sequel is just awful. I keep reading it, hoping that it'll get better, but now that I'm almost done, I don't think it's going to happen. That's my weakness - once I start reading a book, I'll read it through to the end, no matter how awful it is. |

:Laugh: Yeah, I know what you mean, I tend to do the same thing, unless the book really, really bores me to death, which usually isn't something that I picked, but someone else for me instead. >>;
I only watched the movies. XD
They were okay. Books turned movies are okay sometimes, movies turned books suck.

I generally do that, but there was this one time... My local library sells its old books, and the back summarized it as some kind of medieval fantasy, so I bought it... It was pretty good till the poorly written sex scene. :X |

Yeah, I don't really search for porno, so when I find it in a book, more often than not, it robs a little. >>; Most times, insinuations are good enough.

read a couple of books in the last few weeks... a few of them were:
Fight club, by chuck Palahniuk: strange movie... but fucking awesome...
the book is even stranger though... but if
you get through to the end and still have a
slight idea of what's going on... then i'm pretty
shure the author got what he wanted... 5/10
my sisters keeper, by jodi picoult: controversial book with some big moral
dilemma's... great story and the ending was
awesome... put a fucking tear to my eye it did 9/10
slawter, by darren shan: third book in the demonata series... imo not as
good as the previous books... but still a book
that i quite enjoyed 7/10
currently reading the beach by alex garland... i'm about 80% through it... and i'm really fucking liking this book so far... 9/10 |

I'm currently reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. My senior engish teacher had said it was supposed to be required reading for that year ,but she didn't teach it for some reason... so once I hit college I picked up a copy. I'am almost half way through the book. _________________

I am currently reading 'Battle Royale', which is an amazing book. It's also my favourite film so I'm so glad that I got a copy of it.
But if I'm honest, I'm meant to be reading some Buddhism books I borrowed from a friend 2 months ago but I still haven't started 'em and he wants them back. Oops.

'Dance of the Assassins' by, uhh, Herve Jupert. Actually written in French, then translated into english.
It's quite silly; apparently, taking off your glove and slapping someone else in the face is THE ultimate obscene act.
I cracked up. Otherwise, mediocre but with a rather fresh style of writing different than other american writers, so it's interesting.
Oh! Also, I recently finished Vellum: the Book of all Hours, by Hal Duncan. One of the best books ever. Completely, original and utterly amazing writing style, the storyline a collage of modern-day to future-sci-fi to ancient mythology to WWII. Absolutely awesome book, and I can't wait for the sequel [and also ending, as it's a duo of books]. Awesome cast of characters, and really interesting psychology...
Must-read. [okay, now I'm just advertising] |
