Which Show do you think is the funniest?

I could have sworn that there was a topic like this a little bit ago, oh well.
Chose Simpsons, Family Guy never attracted me. Even though new Simpsons aren't as good as a bit older.

I think Family Guy is definitely funnier. It was just so random. Simpsons is still pretty good, but Family Guy is just more hilarious. It touches on so many different subjects to make it funny for everyone! Very Happy

Simpsons may be winding down these days, but Family Guy is too. Simpsons is going into what, 16 seasons now? Family Guy got stale after two.

If you actually stop and think about most of the jokes in Family Guy, they're not even real jokes. Like you laugh at them because they're enexpected and you don't know what else to do, but if you actually stop and think about them it's like "Oh.... you sang a song from a musical verbatime... That's not really all that funny..."

And just the fact that it "makes Simpson's look like kid's stuff" doesn't really sway me, because compared to stuff like Drawn Together, Family Guy may as well be a Sesame street short.

i like the characters in family guy. no matter how many the simpsons can have, its just like a few voice actors playing all the parts. homer just gets on my nerves now, so damn stupid. but i still like the show, its just that... i watch it with my nephew :/

i've only seen a few episodes of family guy, so a couple of seasons of good ones is enough for me. the simpsons [i]are[/i] played out. i loved the show when i was growing up, but all i have left are reruns, which are still better than alot of stuff.

Er... I dunno if I'd pick on Simpsons for having the same voice actors doing a bunch of characters, just about every cartoon I can think of does that. Seth MacFarlane does like half the voices in Family Guy, Trey and Matt do just about every voice in South Park. Cartoons intended for network TV have to cut costs by getting the most out of their voice actors.

Yeah, Drawn Together is an animated reality show on Comedy Central... Just as an idea of the sort of humour in it compared to family guy;

Family Guy creators:
"You always throw a few red cards out there that you know they won't let you show just so you can get away with the stuff you really want"

Drawn Together Creators:
"Usually when you make a TV show everyone sits around and thinks up some jokes and we all laugh and then say 'Okay, so what are we [i]really[/i] going to do?' We don't do that with Drawn Together, those jokes go right into the show"

Not exact quotes, but you get the idea.

i just think the simpsons are pretty much done with. all we have left are the reruns, and there's so many of those that they show two episodes a night. i dont get family guy every night, and it does make me laugh more than the simpsons do now.

i didnt think drawn together was in this poll, i've never seen the show, but its not always thrown in when the simpsons and family guy get compared.

and i'm not saying the less [i]kiddish[/i] show is the best.

I was just saying that I wouldn't say that one show is better than another simply because it's more offensive, because as far as funny, offensive shows go, Family Guy is far from being master of it's craft.

Teletoon shows Family Guy two or three times a night, every weeknight. It's the same episode all three times and it's always a rerun, so I'm probably sick of it for the same reasons you are of Simpsons.

Teletoon really needs to stop doing that. They've almost ruined Futurama for me the same way.

yeah i agree, its the networks fault.

never said offensive = better. south park is also more offensive than family guy, but its still a pretty boring show, i can make it through an entire episode without laughing. and i actually never found family guy that offensive anyway.
