You think PS3 is too much money too buy one

I heard PS3 cost about $500-600 you going buy one went it come out.

actually the market price right off the shelf will start around $800, but still does that make it any better. Even if it were $500 thats still alot more than most people ever dreamt of paying for a game system. I got my computer for a grand. Its the newest one too. There putting these game systems out for way more then I think their worth. I was barely able to afford the X box 360!

And back when the XBox/PS2 came out, people thought they were a hella expensive, too.

Give it a year or so for the price to drop. :l Sony can't possibly consider keeping such a high price on their console for long; it can't be substantially more expensive than the 360 if they wanna stay popular on the market. :X

well the best thing to do if you still want the PS3 is to wait a bit after it is put out on the shelfs. Hopefully it wont get too many sales and the price will drop.

well if you got the money and are willing to pay over $500 go right ahead. It would be better though to wait till the price went down. Who cares if your the first to get it. Is that really worth an extra hundred dollars. I have the 360 so im good. I dont need to spend another grand to get the PS3 and all the stuff you need to get it ALL set up.

That's what really sucks ass about this, and how you know they'll still get plenty of sales.
I mean, those games really make you wanna. Same here. ;o;

sure it may have excellent games coming out, but if you wait awhile the games will still be there. Youll still get to enjoy them the same and all for a lower cost. It just makes way more sense to me that people should just be patient and Sony will be forced to lower the price if a high majority of consumers arent buying their new product. It economics, if the price is high and sales are low then producers will be forced to lower the price of the product in order to bring up the sales. They can make more profit from a higher number of sales at a lower cost then a low amount of sales at a high cost. They will most definately lower the cost if people arent buying it at its high sales price when it first comes out.

There's no way I'm not going to buy one. Not only are all the games I want hangin' around that thing, like Tyler said, it's region-free. IMPORT. YES. I can just buy one and continue to nurture my collection of random Japanese RPGs. 8B

Of course, I'm gonna wait a bit. Not only because I want the price to go down a little, but I don't want to get caught up in bugs, if there are any. :V

I didn't know that, although I must admit I haven't been following the whole next-gen saga very closely. Well, maybe someday in the very distant future, I'll get a PS3... you know, right when they're about to come out with the PS4 or whatever. XD The JPS2 comes first.

Yeah, i feel sorry for those who are buying it immediatly off the shelf the first days it comes out. The price will be as high as can be, and like Fayore said there could be some bugs, or a recall. Look what happened to X-Box and the 360. Best to just wait a bit........save some money.

I'm not gonna go with the PS3. It's gonna cost too much, even when the price drops down a bit. I'm more into my humble XBox, XBox360 and Nintendo DS Lite. Yes... I have a DS Lite... and it is good, too. Better looking than the original, anyways.

Besides, aren't most of the games coming out for the PS3 sequels of other games? Like DMC4 and Tekken6? Sorry... it's just that I am an XBox girl, and will always be one... with the exception of the DS Lite.
