I lyke dem, lol
I only started listening to them a few months ago and I already love them. After I bought their Greatests Hits I went out and got another 3 of their albums. And I haven't been displeased with any of them. I don't know a lot about music, like whether the guitar sounds good, average or bad or whether the drums are played well, I just know what I like.
Summary
Megadeth songs address the problems of the Planet and deal with corruption, capitalism, the distruction of the planet because of waste and Human beings' lack of integrerity. Dave Mustaine can switch between both a Devil voice and an Angel voice which are both amazing and suited what ever song they played. And even to this day his guitar skills are top class. ~ Penelope Spheeries [Los Angeles / March 2005] _________________ |

I actually have a good deal of respect for Mustaine. I like Megadeth well enough, but I don't really have the urge to delve into their music.
Mustaine is pretty awesome as a guitarist, though. He's a great example of a frontman who can kick some major ass while singing and playing guitar.
I think he's technically better than Hammett. Doesn't overuse vibrato or Wah.
The pulsing basslines are addicting. |

He seems to solo a lot better than Hammett. Anybody I talk to always say Mustaine is way better than Hammett at playing the guitar. I like his voice too though, sounds great in all the songs, Its more, I dunno, nasal than Hetfield's. James' used to be like Mustaines when he was younger. Kill 'em all and Ride the Lightning sound similar to Megadeths music [And not just the stuff with the same Music like Mechanix ].
I love all of their lyrics too, there is a lot of meaning in most of the songs. _________________ |

Mustaine doesn't overdo stupid techniques in every song. He knows when to let loose and when to hold back. That's a good quality.
Mustaine wrote most of Metallica's early music, so that's why they sound so similar. |
