About Knights Of The Zodiac (saint Seiya)

Helo everybody! Very Happy

I live in Brazil, which is a place where kinights of the zodiac is a very famous cartoon. And I always wanted to watch it in english, however when I went to visit my family in the USA last year, nobody new about it or anything. Then I found out that they cut out a lot of scenes, and made the blood blue! I don't get it why didi they do that? What happened?

It's because before the show is allowed to air on TV, the people who license it have to check for anything that might offend the public audience (and/or target audience). That's why most of the blood/violence was changed or removed; it happens to nearly every show that goes on air in North America.

And considering the fact that over 50% of America is consisting of devout Christians, I'm not surprised. . . . .

But it seems that Saint Seiya was the only one that got really messed up with that, like Dragon Ball Z has much more violence than Saint Seiya, and I don't think they changed that much stuff on it.

Knights of the Zodiac was a great show before it was canceled. Sad

I likes Sheriu The dragon he was kind of cute. Until he became blind. Sad

But it was good I hope you like it youre lucky you still got it.

i loved that show. But the english dub really really sucked. And it made me mad.

Apparently us Americans are cherries and we can't handle stuff like that, and we are accostomed to blue blood. But we can go watch the the bloodiest movies on public television.

i really don't understand it myself. But they do that to all anime that comes here.

Remember though, that a lot of the dubbing companies in America often try and edit shows so that they appeal to the age groups they think they'll make the most money from. (ie. under 10s) instead of the age groups the shows are aimed at.
