|
|
Last night my PS2 did a face plant on my bedroom floor. It fell about 2 1/2 feet. I didn't really think anything would happen to it but...I'm now getting "Disc Read error" everytime I put a disc in it (PS2, PS1, CD, DVD). The PS2 itself works. It turns on and I can access the browser and my memory cards...it's just It can't play games or DVD's or anything. I was wondering if anybody else had a similar mishap with their PS2. I know on the older PS2 models you would get all kinds of "Disc read errors" and to fix that you had to open the PS2 and fix the laser angle. My PS2 is about 3 years old so any warrenty on it has expired. Does anyone think that when I slam dunked my PS2 I mighta moved the laser angle thing? Help? My PS2 is my best friend! _________________ I have magical female powers

Tried putting it upright? That seems to work with me. |

I ended up tearing it apart. I did some trial-and-error adjusting with laser angle wheel thingy and blowing some air-in-a-can all over the place. I fixed it. Works pefectly now! Yay. _________________ I have magical female powers

FTW? WTF? I duct taped it to the entertainment center. Ya know. So it won't fall off. _________________ I have magical female powers

Duct tape cures all woes.
Except dismemberment. For some reason they still can't move. |

Duct tape and cotton balls. AKA Welfare band-aids. Is it just me or is the PS2 the wussiest console in the world? It can't take any type of damage. The PS3 should have airbags or something. _________________ I have magical female powers

It's the top covering. It's literally, a thin layer of plastic. Strong plastic, possibly even another material, but it's thin too cut back costs. Think about how of that stuff could be put end to end accross the world. Alot. _________________ I came
