I like yaoi. I don't draw it, and rarely read the hard-core stuff. Lemons, and things like that. But i do adore the fluffy stuff. I was never really into it until i left my little unsheltered home and entered 8th grade. Then i actually became aware that man love existed. So i became more accepting to it.

I guess i don't have a problem with it, because i don't have a problem with gays. One of my best friends is gay. And i adore him. And another one of my girlfriends is bi, and at one points she had a crush on me. It didn't bother me. And I love her dearly. I'm going into my junior year of highschool, and i go to a catholic school. So there are a lot of debates about gays. And me and a friend of mine are on the supporting side each time. There isn't anything wrong with it.

I think you just have to be openminded, and accepting.

And concerning the matter that ppl like yaoi but not gays...that makes no sense. Other than what LunaticCrow says. They like gay porn.

I generally can't read yaoi, too much. The idea of homosexual intercourse kind of grosses me out. But I can do Shonen-ai. Atleast for a little. It seems to be less sexual. But, I can do yuri with ease (i'm an aspiring otaku >=D). Utena wins.

i don't get why people like yaoi either. The thought of it disgusts me. Oh, and you know what disgusts me even more? It's when they pair siblings up with each other. HELLO! Who in their right mind would pair two siblings with each other?!

As for me, I can't say I'm a fan. I like straight romance, though Shonen-Ai can be cute sometimes...I don't see why I'd go and look solely for it though.

I don't mind any of them. It's not so much the gender that matters, but the characterization involved, right?

Same thing applies to incestual relationships, etc.

Because male/male pairings in manga/anime/slash fics usually make the male characters cliche =/
Either they're a really besutiful, cute boy-like guy...
Or they're a rebel/'bad'/jerk of a guy.

And as for some peoples' slash fanfics, it's annoying because usually they feel the need to make pairings that would never happen, and the characters are way out of character . . . .

I don't know, I guess it's just that you typically come across better straight romance stories than the yaoi ones, since more yaoi ones are written by little fangirls Neutral

ya i do think straight romance stories are nicer and i think people get so picky is beacuse of religon and how they are rased* as a kid.
now me i have stoped looking at yaoi. i fell after somthing that has just happend in my life it makes me sick!!! no joking i dont think i will look at it ever with out a kind of sickness in my gut. i still will talk to gay people and let them be them i just dont look at gay anime shit any more and i will have you all know i have been working on splling and typing !! so no more "u iz a kayzy bich fro hel" at least on the boards. but i may say that they can be who they wont to be but i do not think they should get married.my beliefs would have to be that it is a holy sankson be tween a man and a women that is seen in the eyes of god as a life time thing/
