Sorry, been indisposed for a while... ^.^;

Um, after the Flanoir scene? :focuses: You have the whole walk with one character, then head to the Tower of Salvation, which is in ruins. You are betrayed and then saved by Zelos (or you fight him). You fought the Gatekeeper and two Angel Swordian minions...then went up the Tower and lost all of your characters one after another.

Colette was already captured...Regal blocked off a doorway from Baby Dragons and fought them himself...Presea got dragged into a little tunnel by some weird creature...Sheena got you over an abyss and got dragged down into it by a plantlike thing...Raine used her computer know-how to get you through a room that was booby-trapped, but was stuck there once she had done so...and Genis used Fire Ball to get you through a barrier, but was stuck on the other side.

That was my favorite scene with Genis, by the way. That really made me like him.

Lloyd confronted Pronyma and Yggdrasill, and everyone rejoined him. You fought Pronyma and two Iduns, then Yggdrasill (the REAL battle with him). You escaped to Heimdall and went into the Torent Forest to make a pact with Origin, and had to fight Kratos first. Heimdall was destroyed and Lloyd got Dirk to make him the Material Blade. He also received the Eternal Ring, to allow him to equip it.

Then you assaulted Derris-Kharlan, and everybody got split up again. Lloyd reunited with Colette and went to save the others. Zelos/ Kratos and Sheena were trapped by The Fugitive (Spider Figurine,) Genis and Raine were trapped by The Neglected (Mirror Shard,) and Regal and Presea were trapped by The Judged (Chipped Dagger). Once everyone was back together, they warped to Vinheim and attacked Mithos.

I think that's everything... ^.^

And a ToS fanfic? Ooh, I approve, I approve! What facet of ToS were you thinking of writing about?

Now, chaining-wise (and I have now experimented with this, so I know it is true).

You have to link a Level 1 attack, then a Level 2 attack, then a Level 3 attack. The descriptions for each attack tells you which level they are, but just for easiness' sake, here's a lowdown on Zelos' techs:

So, now you just mix and match. Pick one of each attack, put them on different buttons, and hit their buttons one after the other.

For example, let's say you're using Sonic Thrust -> Lightning Blade -> Hell Pyre. Say you put Sonic Thrust on Right + B, Lightning Blade on B, and Hell Pyre on Up + B. You enter battle controlling Zelos (duh). You run up, smack the enemy two or three times, and then hit Right + B, the same way you do for any Tetra Combo. BUT, right after you hit Right + B, you hit B and then Up + B.

Zelos should Sonic Thrust, then Lightning Blade, then Hell Pyre.

You can't wait until the one attack is over--you have to hit all the buttons right in a row before Zelos is done with the Sonic Thrust. The faster you hit them, the better.

Try that and see if it works ~.^

And Astri, I meant that Presea has crap for chaining. Though now, it makes me look back... DOES she have any??? >>; Her moves were so SLOW though...
Well, that one move, what was it, fiery infliction or summat? That was like chaining, all on its own.

Cool then, I think I'll try out some of those. Thing is, I never bother still putting on Demon Fang or Sonic Thrust for techs, as I have the upgraded version.
That would explain my ability- Or rather, inability to chain beyond 2. XD

I did fight her once, actually, but I was a wuss and afraid of getting killed, so I set it on easy with Devil's arm... heh... she died in 3 hits... XD

Actually, Presea CAN chain. It's just difficult because her attacks are very slow and have long animations, so she gets hit out of them very easily. Personally, I like Infliction -> Mass Devastation -> Beast--Infliction is fast, Mass Devastation hits everything around her, and Beast knocks the enemy away and gives her time to recover ~.^

But generally speaking, I can't use Presea, because she's just so slow --.--

To answer your question, Trinity, if I play through it more than three times, I'm definitely going for Regal's ending. I wanna know what you can learn from his scene ^.^

I fought Seles once. Actually, I didn't fight her--I saw my friend fight her. We had no idea she was coming, so she took us completely by surprise and slaughtered him with Absolute.

I've heard, though, that the trick is to backstep her Absolute spells and try to get close to her. If you're close, you can jump over her when she starts casting and get in some free hits while she throws ice in the wrong direction. So I plan on trying that, when I get there, but for me the Coliseum is still not open, so I can't try yet --.--

I always give her extreme symbol though, 'cuz the stronger she is, the better. ^_~

I dont' quite remember whether or not I did the flanoir scene with Regal, but as far as I remember, no one gave up particularly interesting stuff.
But for Zelos, of course. ^_~ Though actually, there WERE earlier insinuations as to what'd happened to him...

And Raine's was odd. RaineLloyd I do NOT see. The most, perhaps. >>;

Actually, I'm pretty sure the end-of-battle thing with Colette and Raine happens randomly, not just for Maxwell... but it was rather interesting. ^o^;

By plot change, I mean I'm actually gonna alter the way the game goes, unlike my last one, which was just retelling a certain part of the story with more thoughts added in from a certain perspective.

Yeah, I knew Seles pulled off some killer move on you, but I beat her too quickly with Devil's Arms 'cuz I was caught unawares too and scared shitless. XD

Yes, the Raine-Colette thing does happen randomly. That was why it was so great that it happened against Maxwell ^O^

And yep, I've chained with Presea. The trick is to start attacking while the enemy is still far away--see, Presea has a killer range with her axe, so you wait until the enemy is still way far away and moving, then start. By the time Presea swings her axe, the enemy has walked just into her range, and gets CLOBBERED! ^.^ Then you whip into Infliction, which (as previously stated) is fast, and then just go from there.

And yep, Beast is a level 3 move.

Hey everyone. Ranger Here. As the title says, I got some ideas for features to add to Tales of Symphonia. They both invovle the Battle Colosseum in Maltokyo City (I know I spelt that wrong so please don't bite my head off.). I would like to know what you all think of them.

Idea # 1
[u]Boss replay mode/ 1 player.
Once you've gotten the past and furture stones from the Tower of Salvation, you can go to the Colosseum and add the front desk, you can choose the option "Boss Rematch" You could choose your team members of choose to go solo and have rematchs with Bosses like the Five grand Cardinals, or the Summom Spirits etc.
Do any of you like to beat the Bosses over and over again without not having to not continue with the game?

Idea # 2
Challenge matches/ 1 player
Again at the front desk, you can choose "Challenge match mode. In this, you can take part in special battles that you can great some special items, but the battles while always in manic mode ( the hardest battle mode) Here are a few ideas.

1. Battle all Five Grand Cardinals at once!

2. Battle two or more of the Summom Spirits at once!

3. Battle in a one-on-one battle with yourself. Lloyd vs Lloyd, Sheena vs Sheena etc.

Note. you can only get the rare itens from each battle once, but you can still redo the battles as often as you like. Do you have any other ideas for this one?

Idea # 3
Multiplayer Melee mode.
Once you can enter the Colosseum any time you like you can choose to play against you mates using characters from the game. But you can not only use the players you usually use in the main game. You could also use other characters that you battle in the game, like the Five Grand Cardinals or any of the summon spirits. But you have to have battled them in the main game before you could use them in Multiplayer. Two characters I would like to use would be Forcystus and Yuna. If this mode was in the game, who would you play as?

Final note. If you have any ideas to add that could have made this game more fun, (and if this topic doesn't get lock) please post it here.

Anyway, hi, Ranger! Yes, I would say this is the right place. Your ideas are really interesting--they bring up a lot of cool speculation...

Idea #1: This would be awesome just because I'd love to fight bosses solo with Colette. Just to see how good I actually am. Pound Rodyle into the GROUND with a pure round helping of Para Ball -> Stardust Cross! It makes me happy ^.^

Idea #2: The "Battle All Five Grand Cardinals" idea is pretty cool. It'd be haphazard as hell, though, running around trying to control nine different enemies. Who would that be...Magnius, Kvar, Pronyma, Rodyle, and Forcystus, right? Go after Pronyma first, simply because she's more of a spellcaster and can do the most damage out of all of them...then Magnius, because he's easy to kill...then Rodyle, although I wonder how he fights when he's not a massive monster thing...then Forcystus, who has hopefully been weakened by Genis' spells and Colette's Holy Judgment...then finish off Kvar. Tidal Wave would be worth its weight in gold for that battle.

Idea #3: Now HERE'S the idea that offers such wonderful possibilities. I would LOVE to play as Undine. Undine is the coolest summon spirit, in my personal opinion (and also the best, until you get Origin). Playing as Luna would be pretty cool too, and it'd be fun to play as Corrine simply because playing as small characters is always fun (try Pichu in Super Smash Brothers Melee sometime and you'll know what I mean ^.^)

And of course, playing as Martel would be awesome. It'd be like Colette, except possibly (gasp!) even better. I wonder what weapon she used...?

I would play Martel on your team, Trinity ~.^

YAY we got the spellcaster down. And actually, I've got people pegged for Kratos and Mithos [I know a big, big Mithos fan] so I get Yuan to myself. 8D YAY!

Oh, and if I got to play as a summon or whatever I'd be Celsius. Celsius kicks ass, even without need of Fenrir [who's still pretty cool too ^_~] I mean, martial arts master with a cool look, practically unchanged from previous games.
Her outfit design is awesome, but maybe that's just 'cuz her skirt (and top too I suppose) are just about identical to Albel Nox's. XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

1-on-1 battle with yourself... with just any teammate would be awesome.
I wanna see a Zelos-Kratos showdown! The magic swordsmen fight. 8D

Btw, for the 5 Grand Cardinals... Forcystus. He's AWESOME. Didya see the skit? He's a hero to the half-elves. :3

But, seriously guys, shouldn't the original 4 heros get their own game??? I'd sure love it. O_O And they've pretty much got enough material to MAKE their own game! It'd be like, Phantasia, Symphonia, original 4 [need better title XD] backwards!

As far as I know, Abyss comes out in December, so you have a little while to wait.

But fortunately, Disgaea 2 comes out at the end of this month, so there's something to play until then...ah, my lovely Disgaea...even if they did take out my FAVORITE CHARACTER CLASS FOR THE SECOND ONE... (goes homicidial except mere thought of the Scout class makes me all dreamy so it all cancels out nicely...)

I have to say, your idea of a prequel to ToS is pretty cool as well. What weapons would ALL of them have used?

Kratos would have swords and/ or daggers, obviously.

Yuan would have that bladed...object...thing that he uses, equally obviously.

But Martel and Mithos? I'm not sure...

For some reason, I can see Mithos fighting with his bare hands, using a kind of Pi Qua Quan fighting style (I can't really explain it, but if you ever play Helena in Dead or Alive, it's her fighting style and it's super-easy to see Mithos using it). And Martel...maybe she used chakrams herself. Maybe that's why Colette is so good with them--it's because she's supposed to be an image of Martel.

Such interesting ideas...! Kratos dabbles in different elements...Yuan focuses mainly on lightning...Mithos probably uses a couple more elements and light...and Martel is all about heavy-duty light spells, with some mega-cool Techs thrown in.

Well, for Martel, I think she's just a healer in the back with a staff.

But, who knows, maybe she's cool like Raine and can get a triple combo with that staff.

To be honest, that was how I beat the dragon Knight in the Coliseum. O_O I put on the add combo ex skill, and just ran up and whacked the dumb thing before running back screaming [if possible] and healing.

It was even funnier with Genis.

But, yeah. I most likely see Martel with a staff.

Mithos though? I dunno... yeah, as Yggdrasil, he didn't exactly use a WEAPON against us...
Remember that skit? They did mention before that Mithos was pretty good at the Kendama...
But for some reason, Mithos the savior of the world doing his... ...save the world stuff just doesn't seem too heroic with a bob-toy. >>;

So, I dunno. I think it'd be pretty cool if he fought with his hands, but it just doesn't quite seem right now, does it??

btw, Yggdrasil's little wing-feather things that come out in front of his hands are teh pwnage. I love them. 8D
