Three songs...although the first isn't really a song...and neither's the last:
1. In the Hall of the Mountain King by Peer Gynt - I have always loved this music, and it was the first tune I ever truely fell in love with.
2. Stand by Me by Ben E. King - The theme to a favourite movie, I find it inspires my writing every time I listen to it.
3. The Vengeful Spartan by Gerad Marino - Okay, it's from a game, but it is still a fantastic piece of work, and works to drive adrenaline every single time I listen to it. _________________ You'll get a PS3 for this game...

Mariah Carey 'One sweet day' reminds me of a friend of mine (Something happened to him but I wont say for his sake, but something quite serious) and loads of other stuff that has happened in my life |

Hm..I'd have to say, all those 90's one-hit wonders, like Barbie Girl by Aqua, or Spice Girls stuff. But also, some non-one-hit-wonders from the 90's, like Nirvana songs, or When I Come Around by Green Day.
The 90's were when I was happiest in my life ( and holy crap, I'm only 18 ;_; ), and those songs just bring back memories of my happy days.
These days, heck, I'm just messed up. So those 90's songs have a special place for me.
There's also some video game music that I hold special, for the same reason; brings me back to my happier days, 'cause that's when I first played them. Like Chrono Trigger. _________________ Taku Bell: My Art and Games

"Buwad, suka, sili, sikuwate"(or dried fish, vinegar, red pepper, hot coco respectively) by Junior Kilat always makes me think about breakfast, the typical Filipino breakfast...makes me hungry too. "Endless Love" makes me think about my parents and "Baby Armalight" by Junior kilat always reminds me of civil wars and the tragedies in Iraq. _________________ --Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas. "Is There Something I Should Know?" by Duran Duran makes me really happy because it was the very first song I've ever heard by them, and they're my favorite band. |

"Yellow Submarine" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by the Beatles because my dad used to sing them to me instead of lullabies when I was little.
"You Are My Sunshine" because it was the first song I learned to sing.
"Hey Jude" by The Beatles because it was the first song I performed in public.
"Blowin' In The Wind" by Bob Dylan because it was the first song I learned how to play on the guitar. _________________ |

"Hallelujah" - Jeff Buckley
Even if it is a cover, the sheer sound of the track makes me remember the past, good and bad. It's one of the only songs that affects me in such a way that while thinking upon the past, I can see into my probable future.
"A Certain Shade of Green" - Incubus
This song was our opening cover song at my band's first, and I mean very first, performance and everytime I hear it, I think about all the fun we have.
"Sayanora" - quench
This band was local, so you haven't heard them, unless you're in Charleston, S.C.
This song was "getting over her" song, and it was the coolest song ever. Sometimes, I wish I was single just so I could relate to it again, but it's kinda one of those passing moments. |

Don't Wait, by Dashboard Confessional. Their music is just inspirational, at times. And they always have a decent guitar rip, that anyone well versed in guitar playing can appreciate.
For the nay-sayers, here's a link to their myspace page: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=13078736
Be sure to check 'em out, and leave a comment if you find their music as inspirational as I do =-)

I Need You. It's by me. ^_^
I wrote it a year ago and it's about my fancy for this guy. The lyrics are touching and the music is emotional. I really should put the lyrics up. ^_~ _________________ Let the music flow. Let the sunshine show. |

Broken- I wanted you to know
I love the way you laugh
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph;
I know it serves me well
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain
Because I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
When Chris Daughtry sings it, I wanna cry! But it reminds me of so many things that I have to listen! |

One of the soundtracks from the second Pokemon "The Power of one" by Donna Summer made me feel good. Also the music bit "The Legend comes to life was aslo very nice. Most of the tracks from that ablum made me very good. It the king of tracks that encourages you to stand tall, despite the hardships going on around you. |

Symphony X has a special place in my heart. Some of their songs that had the most impact on me were probably:
Evolution: The Grand Design- No idea why. The guitar, the lyrics. It all seemed so powerful and I fell in love.
A Fools Paradise- Although at the time I first heard it I didn't understand the meaning, this song made me feel better when I felt depressed.
The Witching Hour- Just a fun song to enjoy
The Eyes of Medusa- Another song that at first made no sense, but the guitar and lyrics were just truely powerful. |

The two bands [Not songs] that'll always make me smile is Nirvana and Hole, because those were the two bands my mum would always play for me when I was 3 year old screaming to them
But song wise.. I don't remember the song name, but there were lyrics in it talking about going upside down and turning around.. I think it was by Jewel or something, and I always remember my sister turning me upside down and twirling me around in the room..
Then the Titanic song.. it was my sister and her first boyfriend's [who died] love song. So.. I always think back on that when I hear it. |
