Yeah. Anything by Tamora Pierce is pretty much a guarantee good read. I've read all of her books and they're fantastic. You should read them all. Alanna series, Wildmage ((Daine)) series, Immortals series ((might be the same as Wildmage.. can't remember)), The Circle Opens and the Circle ((Daja's book, Briar's book, Sandry's book, and Tris's book)), Protector of the Small series, and also her newest one, Trickster's Choice ((Really fantastic. I read it in about a day and it was soooooo good. Great story. Incorperates charas from previous stories~it's about Alanna's daughter)) followed by sequal Trickster's Queen ((not out yet, but waiting patiently for it... *growl*)).
You want a short read but very funny? Try Swords for Hire. That's only about 200 pages ((or less)) and very hilarious. I liked that one a lot.
Something more mature? hehe.. You should most definitely, without a doubt, read the Black Jewels Trilogy. 1. Daughter of the Blood 2. Heir to the Shadows 3. Queen of the Darkness I've read this series twice and I've loved it all the same. it is sooo kick a$$. Seriously read it, buy it, own it, whatever. Read it. It's by Anne Bishop. She's got other books too. THey're good. ^_^ Read Black Jewels.

Allright time to bring some maturity back into this thread

First you could read Raymond feist.
His first riftwar sage is good
His empire trilogy with wurts is also good
what am i saying almost everything he's written is good.
Then you could read some vance.
His tales of the dying earth novels.are some of the finest fantasie novels ever written.Actually al his novels whether fantasy or sci fi are really good.
Possibly Tanith lee.I like her Tales from the flat earth series is excellent.
Also you might like her Birthgrave triology.
Then zelazny of course first books of the amber trilogy are good.
As is Lord of light although that's not really fantasy.
L.e modessit jr is also good.Read his recluce novels.
Chrisine freehan's.Dark books are also good.if somewhat mature and sexual. Not really fantasy but a good take on a different kind of vampire.
Michael moorcock's eternal champion series.Dancers at the end of time is also good.A mixture of sci/fi and fantasy
Of course ursala k.le guin's.Earthsea first three are the best quality drops afterwards.
I liked mickey zucker reichert's books.although perhaps they're more guy oriented.
You could try Julian may's new fantasy series.which is also good.
Silverberg's Majipoor is also good.
Janny wurts solo books are also all good.
Books by joel silverberg also good very mature though.people in those books have real serious issues to deal with.
Stephen lawhead's celtic fantasy is ok.
Louse's coopers Time master trilogy is also very good.
Gene wolf is new sun is also good.Mostly fantasy with some sci fi.

If you need any more just ask

Dragonlance is great.
Tamora Pierce is to Mary Sue like for me, teh characters are such goodie goodies.
His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman are the best three books i've read in my life. They are great for any age.

Well, if you like vampires, i would reccomend the Cirque Du Ferak Series. Other than that I would reccomend books written by Tamora Peirce.

I've just noticed I've posted to late . . . .

Anything Garth Nix.

The Old Kingdom Trilogy (which includes the following...)

Sabriel
Lirael
Abhorsen

The Seventh Tower series (6 books, can be purchased in 2 volumes)
The RAGWITCH
Shade's Children

All these are extremely addicting. Shade's Children is a bit more futuristic, but the others are pure fantasy. Garth Nix is an amazing writer, I suggest him to everyone. =3 Read...
