The reason Im the outcast because I veiw the world differently,Im more of a free spirt would be a good way to put it, and I dont have a cool style of clothes I just wear with I want like my favorite jean jacket vest and my favorite pair of pants.

The topic of Anime Im not obessed like some people like scearming about Inuyasha, although Im a fan of it I dont go all crazy like some danm fangirl or something I enjoy an good manga once In a while I dont buy the whole freakin store of them. Im basic a normal Anime spectator and hardcore RPGer which is why FAC drew me here, But Me in not normal you talking to a guy who wore lights on his person to the Senoir Prom or dancing for a dollar in front of friends and can eat alot of food trust me I can pack it in. I dont think of myself as a loser I think myself as a laidback and friendly guy.

Heh. The peeps in our college department are either Architecture or Fine Arts majors. A lot of which are Anime fanatics. A friend of mine told me that most of these peeps enrolled simply because they like Anime or have nothing better to do with their lives. The Anime fanatics are somewhat popular, especially the ones who really know how to draw anime. But, ehh, they're not as popular as the rendering folks or the ones who do photo-realistic images. Some of my friends have accounts on DA btw. In our department, nobody's an outcast. Good for the nerds.

My grandma watched Inuyasha, until they moved it to adult swim because she goes to sleep before they pass it. that was long ago. Shocked .

She also used to call him Cumayasha, I don't know why.

Thats funny your grandma watched Inuyasha, My grandma watched freakin' HGTV or GSN or the Food channel, which tells you she doesnt watched anything, but when I stay there for the summer I had my own Tv. I used to watch Inuyasha and FMA, Fooly Cooly and Trigun, While I was there, but she decided to give me a bedtime, which made me mad, because the shows I loved I couldnt watch because my bedtime was midnite, and Inuyasha came on at midnite which tells you my grandma is anti-anime and anti-cartoon, she says that cartoons rots your brain and find something else to watch, so to make her mad I watched Comdey Central. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Anway Im an Anime/ RPG Rebel for life.

i thought my friends and i were the only ones into anime, until i started making new friends and realized that there are a LOT of secret anime freaks out there, even the really popular types. some of em' told me they've even been to a comic con or two.

I've never understood why people immediatly classify and stereotype anime fans as outcasts. I'm quite a quirky person, probably the only J-rock fan and one of the few anime fans at school and believe me, I'm no outcast. I just prefer to be secluded because I'm shy.

You're only an outcast if you want to be. Preppy kids have their own group and they may not want to hang out with you sure, but preps aren't the only kids at school are they?

Outcast, er... 'outcast-ism' is sort of something you decide or yourself. People may shove you away because of your clothes or interests. That's because you're going to the wrong people. Instead of angsting over the fact that you've been rejected, go try and find other people who will be more accepting. You're not the only one in the world who likes what you do. You're only discriminating yourself from the rest of the world. Everyone has their place in the world. If you don't think you have one then force yourself into an empy space. Very Happy

That's how it is everywhere, if you ask me. Anime people just aren't accepted. I think it's our culture... America has there own popular media and standards. Anime really isn't in it.

But you know it's weird...there's this kid in my grade who likes anime and heavy metal and all that jazz. But the flip side is he's tall, dark, and handsome and a complete football jock. He's always got girls clustering around his locker... It's so shallow! They probably have nothing in common with him except for how attractive they are (or aren't, in some cases.)

But I digress.
The end!

My school is small so we don't exactly have popularity ranks. Just random groups.

And anime fans aren't shunned. We're just there. Makes me feel special and diverse. ^-^

Keep loving anime though. Anyone who dosn't like it is a silly-head. O_____o

Have to agree with Linds on this one ^^ You need to find friends that like you and your interests. Not go to the people that are sure to reject you :\

There is no such thing as an outcast. i don't know why people who think they're outcasts, make me angry. It, to me is ridiculous. Go met some new people. Jez.

I was an outcast. I didn't belong to any group, nor did I want to be a part of them.

If not an outcast, what would that make me? An individual, which is what the term 'outcast' refers to Confused

Did you just kinda hang with random people at school, Kitzy? That's what I do. I have 2 really close friends then there are some other kids from different groups that I am hang with. I'm kinda in a group but kinda not. It works for me.
