Elfen Lied? What?

I looked already and didn't find a topic. If there is one, could you re-direct me to them?

I'm just wondering what this anime is. It looks good, but very messy. I'm getting a little queasy after watching an AMV of it a billion times in a row. Anyways, what's the plot? Who are the main characters? What is Lucy? Is she psychic or something?

It's very gorey, it has nudity, it's has a great deal of graphic violence, and psychological violence, but it's a great plot and storyline. It's 13 episodes long, with an OVA afterwards (Though some consider it the 14th episode).

The whole plot is this: There is a virus, called the 'Vector virus'. If you're born with it, you have horns at the stop of your head, and they classify you into a group called 'Diclonius'. Lucy is one of those Diclonius. The plot starts when she escapes from the research facility they keep the Diclonius at. After this, she washes up on shore, and the people from the facility basically begin to hunt her down.

The main characters are Nyuu/Lucy (That is explained within the first one or two episodes on why she has two personalities) Kouta, Yuka, Nana, Mayu and Kurama.

Highlight me! ---->[color=darkgray]Diclonius hate humans, and don't really hesitate to kill them at all. What is so different and why Diclonius are so danger to humans is because besides the fact that they are born with horns, homicidal tendencies towards humans, they also posess vectors, or invisible 'arms' which can go out to various ranges, pick up items, and slice through bodies. What really sucks is that the manga (from sources i heard from) are only in grmany or somewhere in europe..

Because most of the things in Elfen Lied were inspired by a german poet's poetry
Which also inspired the opening song.

*pout* I want to own that manga series T.T

The OAV is actually something like ep 11.5 (cronologically).

And there is already a thread about it somethere. Maybe under serious.

i find it very intresting and, mush to my mothers dismay, watch it every day. but i seriously wouldn't reccomend watching it if your a girl under the age of 18. it is VERY, VERY gory. most of the blodd is un edited.

I saw it. ALL of it. Not the manga though. Elfen Lied ROCKS and is my second favorite anime.

pheh! i am 15 and i loved it....although it was a bit wierd, Lucy killed some guy with a pen how cool i'd love to do that!

I've seen every episode my favorite character would have to be Nana because i feel sorry for her, i won't reveal why because that would be a spoiler. I haven't watched Elfen Lied in awhile though i might just have to re-visit now.
