Back to Make-up....
My policy on make-up--No one under 16 should be allowed to wear it. 13 year old girls tend to go eyeliner/ mascara happy. They end up looking like whores. I wasn't allowed to wear make-up until I was 16. I wear make up, but not very much. I just use some to hide zits and I wear a little bit of eye liner. If I'm feeling fancy I'll put on eye shadow and Mascara. I remember one day I went to school and I wasn't feeling well so I didn't put on any make up, some jerk goes: "EWW! You're not wearing make-up!" So I guess if I don't wear any make up I look hideous. _________________ I have magical female powers

I really agree with the 'under 16' rule. My neighbour's kid is 10 and has been wearing makeup since she was 8. And she has a cell phone and tries to look 'fashionable'.
It's weird, because on the rare occasions that I have worn makeup, people would be like "...you're wearing makeup..."
And that would basically be it.
Eyeliner kind of makes me feel tired, and facial makeup makes my face feel really dry.
I have a tendency to smudge eyeshadow and lipstick all over everything.
So basically if I wear makeup I end up tired, with makeup smudged on my face. Fun! _________________ |

Wearing make up since she was 8? And she has a cell-phone? Jeezus! I'm almost 18 and I'm not allowed to have one even if I pay for all the expenses. Kids these days. She's gonna be a skank _________________ I have magical female powers

I hardly ever wear make-up, except for a little bit of cheap lip gloss and mascara, when I have the time. Though this year I was in a play and they made up my whole face, foundation, eyeshadow, blush, etc, and I kind of liked the way it looked. I'm just too lazy to do it every day. _________________ |

Whenever I see a chick wearing a lot of make-up, I tend to wonder they really are a chick. All jokes aside, if a girl simply cannot look good without clowning it up, you should probably back away before you have to wake up next to her. _________________ Smoking cigarettes can reveil hidden laser traps. Only things I wear is light eyeshadow to better accent the green color in my eyes and this medicated lipstick that stops these weird things I get. They're like coldsores, but they're not. It's not herpes, either; I've never slept with anyone. _________________ Best Quote Ever: "B&."- Said by multiple people.

Cold sores are herpes. Herpes simplex.
Maybe you get sun blisters? There's a lot of lipstick and lipchap stuff that has sunscreen to keep your lips from burning.
My sister told me not to wear coverup because it clogs pores so much. I'm not sure if that was a warning for my skin or a warning not to use her stuff. _________________ |

I use my make up lightly, because I was taught how to use it.
I think over use is a form of self hate. I hate my face, or used to. Now I can look in a mirror without wanting to shatter it. _________________ (>*-*)> <(*-*<)

They look plastic? Blech.
On my 10th birthday, our neighbors got me makeup with Mary-Kate and Ashley on the cover. Frankly, it scared me. I used it for art projects, instead. |
Does no one wash their face?
Most people look drab with a completely clean face. No color, bad skin, ugh.
The problem is that most people don't know how to put it on, and because most of it is cheap. Well done make up is like a painting, airbrushed, carefully applied and blended, all color theory... not smeared around randomly with a foam q-tip.
Granted I wear...almost nothing 'cause I'm a lazy bitch in the morning. But makeup makes people look better. Bad skin creeps me out. And plain people make me sad.
Thank you fallen!
Makeup doesn't always clog pores and cause acne. Some people can wear makeup everyday and have not one pimple on their face whatsoever. It depends on the person and their personal hygiene.
And yes, if you don't know how to put on makeup properly, then it looks cheap and like crap. But if you use it in moderation and go by the age-old rule that "it should look like you're not wearing any makeup at all" then you can actually look like a hundred times better than without it.
Plus, coverup is great if you have bad skin. I hardly get pimples anymore but when I get like one on my chin, a little coverup (and I do mean like barely a dab) nuetralizes the red in the pimple and its practically invisible.
I use makeup everyday. Not because I want to go and attract people at school. I already have a boyfriend and he loves me with or without makeup. I don't have self esteem issues either. I just think that it feels good to look nice in public and with a little bit of eyeshadow, mascarra and lipgloss, I can look really nice.
If you think that you look fine without makeup then good for you. I'm glad you've got that kind of self confidense in you. But please don't think that the only girls who wear makeup all the time are cheap or have problems with how they look.

Why not give the girl a chance? For all you know, she could be attractive under the makeup.
Wow, so many makeup haters. Hope I don't come across as shallow. :/ |

I usually tend not to wear any kind of makeup and people say I have a nice skin. On some occasions and if I kick myself in the rear, I sometimes put a light eyeshadow but I kinda like lipgloss for a somewhat reason but that's about all I wear.
Eyeliner (very, very, very little) at very raye occasions.
My cousin tortured me and tried applying the whole supply on my face but I managed to keep her from puting base and that stuff. Knowing my skin, it would have been hell to take everything off and hello zits if she had.
Gosh, first thing she does in the morning is apply mascara and she's only 14 >> (I'm older than her)
It's sad to see kids (and some older people) wearing all that makeup and ending up looking aweful (in some cases) but there are people out there who can put it right and still make it look nice and somewhat natural.
Sadly, there are more people messing it up than putting it right _________________ A life with love will have some thorns but a life without love will have no rose |
