Best pictures of all time.

I just thought of a neat idea if anybody is interested in intergrading it into the Website. I thought it would be nice in having a top 100 picks of all time or top 50, 20 10, 5 etc. I guess it would be rather hard to do, as there are a ton of pictures to go though. And there may not be enough good artists to accomplish a top 100... But still maybe at least a top 50 or 20. I know there is already a featured picture and maybe it would put a damper on that, but it seems that it is geared more to the new pictures that are up and not the really good old ones that are on here for a long time.

I think it would be quicker if they just pick the best pictures they know of and just push them out as better ones come along, it would make it sort of a race for the number one spot. Of course they would have some sort of rating warning if the subject is not suitable for all viewers or some form of suggestive material filter put in place.

Well just an idea.

How would you exactly rank the pictures, of different style, of different artists, from 1 to 100?

no way that's gonna happen, it'd create more of people complaining about "oh! I think numbere 3 should be number 2!" blah blah blah.

Also, there are new pics coming out all the time, of which a few are always pretty good, so the list probably couldn't ever stay too stable.

And it's a ton of work, definately.

Still... it's a neat idea. Very Happy

What about this?:

Do the same sort of system as the way the do in the radio business, where they pick the top according to rating or popular choice.

Put them in categories, according to type of work/ style. Just like in music industry they have top, rock, pop, country, top rated hits, why not pictures? And to decrease the workload; just make it a monthly event where they update the top pictures.

This may sound like a lot of work, but it would increase popularity on this site, as this would be sort of a disk jockey approach to the art world.

Yes, but in case you haven't noticed, FAC's mostly made up of some rather young members.
For the fav pics/top pics of other peoples' favs, the tops are usually by Seifer-sama's, who do deserve fame I believe, but not so much as others that draw equally as good but are simply less well-known, along with really silly pics, like those of Snake_eyes or summat.

Sorry, but the public isn't always right, particularly when half are below the age of 12. Confused

Of course, I don't mean to be insulting, but, it's just true. It's like top radio countdown too. People just like what other people say are good, and it's a hopeless chain reaction.
If you want good pictures, you'll have to depend on an authentic, experienced person [or group] to handle something like that.
