This is just ugh! Woman beats her daughter in broad daylight

I didn't see this for myself, but just hearing about it... rrgg!!

My mom had just parked at my brother's bus stop. The windows were all up in the car, and out of nowhere, she starts hearing from this lady in a car that just pulled up, "I am f**king tired of this and that!" She didn't hear the whole thing.

Now, she saw my brother and the other kids were giggling. Now, it's funny if it's a husband and wife arguing or something.

The car parked in this one guy's huge driveway, and my mom saw something that tore her heart out.

The lady was yelling at her daughter, swearing at her, and all of that. Without any warning, the lady grabbed her daughter's arm and started hitting her. The girl's legs were hanging out the open car door, and Mom saw her legs kicking around, and she heard the girl yell, "Let me go! I'm going to school!"

Mom wanted to drag that lady out by the hair, but she was afraid to because the cops around that area s*ck except for one we're friends with. She wasn't sure if he was home or not, so she couldn't do anything.

This one kid's dad was on the lawn, and pulled out his cell phone and called the police. The lady saw, dragged her daughter back in the car and started driving away, then stopped, pointed at the dad, at the phone, and mouthed, "I'm going to get you."

The police guy my parents are friends with heard the car speeding off - the breaks were really squeaky, according to my mom - came out and was talking to the dad.

When Mom came home, she got on her Halo 2 forum and asked one of her friends something. He's a police officer too, and told her that she could've helped because, in some states, it's legal to hurt someone if you or if someone else is being hurt or in danger by another person.

The lady was found, and I'm not sure if she got away.

Mom asked one of the girls at the bus stop if she knew that little girl, and she said yes, but she didn't know the name.

I really can't believe a woman would do that...

Any thoughts? I say that woman should be put in stocks and pillary, or have an ear cut off. Darn constitution saying cruel and unusual punishments are banned...

I can. One of my best friends deals with a psychotic mother who is seriously bipolar. It's a result of childhood abuse that my friend's grandmother sparked.
It's not unbelievable. It's life. Fortunately, life has police officers and people who work to help.

Maybe your mother is making more of this than it is. Bored old soccer moms that hang on Halo2 tend to do that. The womans kid was being a brat so she yelled at the lil sh*t and smacked her arm a bit. And the woman telling some guy she's gonna get him.. not totally loony to do. Do you know the stress that goes along with being a mom?... well obviously not but I can understand how shit like this can happen. Not going all nuts and beating the crap outta your kids but yelling and lookn like a spaz.. i can understand.

And the kids legs flopping around outside the car.. big deal. Ever think the lil brat was just throwing a fit?

Seriously though.. why post about something that you didn't even see yourself. You are outraged over what others think they saw. You didn't see it for yourself so you don't know if it was a huge incident like they are making it out to be.

There were six witnesses, two being other adults other than my mom and one being the cop. He wasn't aware of what was going on though, which sucks..

When I was a kid and being a brat, I got smacked really hard with a wooden spoon, but it's not like my parents just liked to beat me. They broke a wooden spoon on my sister.

I bet you anything that kid did something that they were told not to do. It's a shame most parents don't punish their kids anymore. This is why every new generation is going into that downward spiral.

It's discipline, and something we need a lot more of.

I'm not being a bitch. I'm just bringing up the possibility that your mother and your brother are making it sound more than it is. You didn't see it happen yourself, so you really don't know if it was as bad as those around you have made it sound.

When I was a kid (and older..) I'd get smacked about too if I did something wrong (or less, 'cause dad is a psycho)

Even today, I piss my mum off something rotten.. I can see she wants to just fucking belt me but I'm too stubborn/dumb to admit I was wrong/lazy... Well, not any more.. I know I'm lazy but in the past I was like that.

All kids should be beaten imho. It builds character and weeds out the weak.

My mum plays computer games and posts on her guild forums... and yeah she's a bit nutty.

I'm also glad that the hippy generation is coming back... it's not a bad thing. Bad people weren't spawned 'cause of it. Just bad consequences to the good actions. I welcome it and look forward to the naked hippy parades.

People are also a lot faster to jump on parents and accuse them of abuse than they are to apologize after they realize they're completely wrong and were just being asses about it. Sure, if the kid has a lot of "accidents" and seems to be bruised to a pulp every day there's reason to be concerned, but if the kid was just being a brat and throwing a temper tantrum kudos to her mother for not just letting her get away with it.

All those kids who cry "I'MMA CALL CHILD SERVICES BECAUSE YOU ABUSE ME!" because they break a lamp and get spanked for it deserve a good beating, just so they can tell the difference.

I'm not really saying.. "what if she deserved a beating". . I'm saying the situation might not be as bad as mommy and bro are making it out to be. It's stupid to get outraged over something you didn't see with your own eyes, when it's coming from people who can easily exaggerate what happened. Get pissed off once the woman has been investigated and charged for child abuse. Like the squid said, people are too quick to accuse parents of child abuse.

If my child was throwing a fit and I had to pull over and smack his arm, I would be pissed off too if I saw a bunch of bored ass people picking up their phones to call child services. As if the bitch wasn't stressed enough, some hippy had to get all involved. WTF is with people today.. getting all bent outta shape when they see a kid getting spanked or slapped. That is why we have 12 year old whores wearing no clothes.... we're not allowed to smack any sense into the lil brats. I remember getting belt beats and I'm not all crying about being abused. I was a brat.. i got smacked.
