The Mega Man cartoon series did have colorful effects, but the 3rd season should have had TWO episodes instead of one.

Aside from "Crime of the Century", there should also have been a episode entitled "Hot as a Firecracker".

Synopsis:
This episode is the only one that does NOT feature Mega Man's main enemies (Dr. Wily, Proto Man, Cut Man, and Guts Man) or special appearances by other robot enemies. Rather it is a bit of a twist of the "Tiny Toon Adventures" episode, Washingtoon. Mega Man may have disabled his opponents before, but never a human alone. The evil chairwoman of an evil society believes Mega Man is nothing but a nuisance to humans and robots. To do away with what she calls Mega Man's heroic ways, her terrible plan is to go to the world's biggest volcano and use remote-controlled lava and set it to destroy every iota of life on earth. To defeat her, Mega Man will need a lot of skill and ingenuity. Can he and Rush stop the chairwoman from turning the planet into a giant ball of fire?
