With all hope, getting accepted into CCAD (Columbus college of art and design) a art college that is pretty good with animation and such, and major in illustration maybe who knows.
ONE MAIN GOAL:
GET INTO SOME ART COLLEGE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS/WASTE LOTS OF MONEY pretty much |

aftr highschool??? I just got into it! But I do have my own plans. I wanna go to an art college and learn some new stuff. But then I thought about how there's not much money involved in an art carrier, unless I got famous... So I figured, after highschool, I'll spend my days thinking about what I want to do. _________________ "yesterday's history, tomarrow's a mystery, today's a gift that's why we call it the present."

I might go to college for some art and basketball. Not sure, yet. I'd love to be a concept artist for video games. |

I still have a lot of time to choose but the only thing I am sure of, is that I will go live in Israel for a year after I graduate, a school tradition, most of the people who graduate go to Israel for a long trip with little to 0 adult care[/quote]
Lovely location choice. Do let us know when you're blown up, k?

Not true. There's a lot of money out there in the arts, and it's a relatively stable field 'cause there will ALWAYS be a need for art. The areas where there's not much money is in freelance and fine art (depending on how successful you are, you don't have to be famous to make a living).
Design, illustration, fabrication, anything you can work in-house with is just like any other 9-5 job as far as making money goes. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

When I get out of highschool I'll probably start for college right away. I'd kick myself if I took any time off and got behind. I'll probably looked for something in biotechonology. Anything sciencey, but not too much math. Lol.
I'm hoping that someday I'll have more time to work on manga's. Just for fun. I know I could never be famous or anything...lol again. |

I'm at a sort of "maybe, maybe not" stage right now. I came in wanting to be a fantasy author, but I'm beginning to look at things, and I'm seeing a whole lot of different choices I could make that had potential for income and enjoyablity (Is that even a word?). One that I've been interested in is fashion design. I'm not into 'fashion', but I think it would be a required area if I was to perhaps get into the business of making costumes for movies, n'all that fun stuff.
There's also been that whole thing about being a comic book artist. All my peers are asking me if I'm going to 'draw comics when I grow up'. To be honest, I'm not quite so confident with that. I've started five million comics, and haven't gotten very far at all. I'm better at writing down the vast world crammed into my peanut-sized brian., which is why I wanted to be an author.
I also have a potential in the whole singing and acting thing. I love to sing, acting's fun (all lot of people complimented on my job playing Maria in "Twelfth Night" last year), but I really don't quite like the concept. It seems like you're either on the streets or so famous that your face is pasted on every tabliod imaginable. :/
Probably the only non-artsy occupation that I'm remotely interested in is observation of the local redwoods. It seems like fun, sitting in a harness a hundred feet in the air examining the trees, the life cycle of it. They're quite interesting with the many living things that live on/around it. And of course, there's the burls. XD Of course, this requires a good foundation in science and math, neither of which I've been all that fond of, but what the heck.
Heh, and don't ask about a college! I've hardly got a clue. But I'm an obnoxious little freshman, so I've got time. XD Not for long, though! |

Well, I'm already out of high school, but I just wanted to go to university, either way.
I heard Ryerson is a good university for journalism students, but it's pretty far away from Surrey. But what do I know; I used to live there and I'm here in Toronto as well. |

I have no clue.
I guess I'll enroll in a community college for a couple of years in my town, then probably go to a university or whatever after that. This is something I need to start thinking about, as I'm a Junior in high school (11th grade).
EDIT: An occupation would probably be a manga artist (cartoonist), though I'm interested in acting, because my role-model for that is Colin Mochrie (the bald Canadian from Whose Line Is It Anyway?). |

I would have loved to have a career as an artist, but sometimes, if it doesn't sell, it won't put the food on the table. Besides that, I've taken very few, if any, art classes. I learn everything from experimentation and looking at stuff, but I doubt that's enough to get me anywhere. |
