Well just curious.....what are all your views about these new systems. Anything unique or better about one that makes the others look lame.
(p.s. hope this is better stratadrake)

X-Box 360 - Pointless. Not paticularily powerful. Not innovative. Nothing unique.
Playstation 3 - Very powerful, but will just be the same as the last generation with nicer graphics.
Nintendo Wii - Less powerful than it probebly should be, but its innovative controls will make the most interesting and fun games.

Gameplay is more important than graphics -- Go Wii.

PS3 for me.

Sony has all my titles and the majority of the games that i want that will be coming out within the next near will be on it.

that pretty much makes my mind up for me.

I'm kinda caught between PS3 and Wii. I don't want to buy two of them 'cause i'm not gonna waste my money on both and have to buy games for both aswell.

The Wii gameplay looks awesome, I saw the Twilight Princess ad and the controller system thing looks fuckin' class. But the PS3 has most of the game series that I like. I won't be getting either for about another year at least [Wii is out in a few weeks, PS3 is out in March '07] so i'll probably just scope out the games for each.

Does the Wii have online gaming capabilities, like Wi-Fi ???

ya, you can browse the net with it to.

@Denis, Gameplay is more important. but that doesn't mean PS3 and Xbox wont have good games with good gameplay. I'm hearing a lot of good things about the 360 on high def from my brothers. And to me, graphics are pretty important, along with storylines and gameplay.

360 has the incumbent advantage, i.e. on its second year already, so the developers have learned a bit about how to program for it. But then again, it's catering to more or less the same market as the original XBox, the tried-and-true "gamer" community, so yes, it is the "next" generation but only in the sense of the "next" lap or the "next" year.

PS3 beats 360 in all technical categories (except controller rumble), but with manufacturing problems and rampant eBaying is by far the most elusive of the consoles. Its online service is getting criticized for not matching the XBox Live's level of service, its price tag has gathered a lot of skeptics (the Japanese price cut from $500 to $425 was because publishers like Square-Enix and Konami pressured Sony to do it, they fear that if Sony can't sell enough consoles then it will hinder the new FF's and MGS's). So while it may be technically the best and most versatile of the new consoles, it's off to a very slow and rocky start, so the question is how the PS3 can catch up. After all, you can't win a race on "top speed" alone if you can't accelerate enough to make a difference from it.

The Wii opts for something entirely different. Nintendo has already stated that their goal is to innovate, not just compete; so while the Wii does have better specs than the GameCube (exactly how much better is a matter of debate), that's not really the point. The one-handed Remote design opens up gameplay possibilities that simply aren't possible on the other consoles, like the touch screen did for the DS. That, and the lowest price tag of the three show how Nintendo is trying to expand the gaming market itself rather than just milk the existing cows. Nintendo hasn't had any manufacturing problems so much as they've had an excessive demand for the console, likely fueled in part by the PS3 shortages (and don't forget, Nintendo doesn't sell their consoles for a loss).

Let's not forget the 360's advanced online community which is looking to be the best out of all the systems. The 360 is apparently much more developer friendly as well.

I want a Wii, but since I am used to controllers, the Wii-Mote may take some getting used to. The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl looks like interesting games I may be interested in buying Well, when I get the system, of course..

It's currently sold-out in our Wal-Mart SuperCenter. Shocked

The Wii Remote does take a little bit of getting used to, but considering how there aren't nearly as many buttons to memorize, as well as the motion sensitivity, I wager it's actually less of a learning curve than any traditional controller layouts.

For example, Wii Sports is played almost exclusively via motion control. Boxing in particular requires no buttons whatsoever (and, should I add, is quite a workout once you start facing off against tougher opponents).

Nothing major. The poll choices originally read [__Microsoft XBox 360__]. Adding ASCII embellishments like that made them look silly, just plain text is always better.

Graphics don't really bother me, its not necessary for a game to have good graphics for me to play it. The thing that is swaying me towards the Ps3, over the Wii, is the games like FF, KH and GTA. But if they all came out on the Wii, I probably wouldn't even think twice about the Ps3. Twilight princess looks like it is so much more fun than any other game i've seen, and the graphics are good enough for me. I still play FF VII and look at the graphics on that.

They all have online gaming, right ???

Nintendo's console supports their own online service, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. But remember, Nintendo has generally favored real multiplayer over online multiplayer, so not all games will be Wi-Fi compatible.

GET OVER IT!!! so i make some unique adjustment to my topic. Big f***ing deal! If you dont like it then just dont say anything. Also, if my style of words bothers anyone then you`ve got a major problem, OCD or something.... man just a bunch of people who cant stand how other do things. For one, there is nothing in the rules stating that I cant do that. Thats all your own personal problems. Oh and Stratadrake I already made the changes on wording once, stop being such a baby about it. So the brackets seem silly to you....GOOD! Thats just how I like it! Dude honestly your the one acting silly.

XBox 360: Hmm... I have actually had it, but the only console I have now is the GameCube. When I played Dead or Alive 4 for the first time, it totally blew me away. Mind you, I had to get a fresh copy because the first one wouldn't even get past the title screen (my TV is NTSC and 60Hz friendly, thank you). I must say, that the console itself was awesome- simple to use. But... I'm into Nintendo now, in a little way, so...

Nintendo Wii: I WANT ONE, DAMN IT!!!! But I'm gonna have to wait until the new year, when the price might come down a little bit. It's a bloddy good price, and you get a free game with it, but I just can't afford it. It looks the bees' knees, if you ask me. I've seen it in action on news items, and the controller looks spiffy, and it was nice to see it working, watching the people (in the advert for it) play bowling and golf on it. I like the idea of the contoller as well. I wish they had stuck with the Revolution, though. Wouldn't get as many jokes in as the Wii has already.

Sony Playstation 3: No. I hate Sony. Simple as that. It's too expensive, plus it's missed its initial launch line up, and what if it misses it again in the new year? No way can I afford 500+ I'd rather they do it in prices of 250-300. That would be better, in my opinion.

i personally like X-box 360.....but i've never used a P.S. and i see the wii having some problems (like if you drop the controller your carter might do something bad...like walk of a cliff) i'm guessing but you could prove me wrong... oh well... but it does have X-Box Live! Very Happy and i don't see how people are are saying that X-Box dosen't have good garphics there usually great! Cool see Halo =p
