Thought it would be fun to see who here is really confident and comfortable with their looks.
Now, some of you use makeup from time to time I assume. I'm not talking about like everyday but you know when you're going out somewhere special, you tend to use some makeup to hide any flaws and perfect your face.
So what I want to know is, what flaws are you hiding with your makeup?
I'll tell you mine:
-Bags under my eyes. I haven't had a decent night's sleep in months and its starting to look like it too. So I use coverup under my eyes so I don't look so zombie-ish
-Redness around my nose. Everyone has those little red veins that kind of protrude out of the nose, so I use coverup to hide them.
-Redness around the eyebrows. This is only after I tweeze them. They get really red and its not very pretty to look at.
And thats about it. Anything else I use just 'cuz I think it looks nice and I want to experiement. Anyone else want to share? |

I have those fucking blackhead things on my nose. I don't think it's a really bad case since no one has ever pointed them out to me, but I hate them.
How do I get rid of them? |

Well if you haven't tried this yet, you can pop it by pinching both sides of it with your nails and pressing down on it till you feel it squeeze out. If it bleeds, don't worry. You want that to happen.
After that, you just let it heal and you'll be okay.
If that doesn't work, try Proactiv or just try to make washing your face a daily habit. Blackheads are the result of oils clogging your pores and all this junky, gross stuff bubbles up over the skin in the form of a blackhead. So if you keep your face clean of harmful oils, you'll be less likely to have blackheads. |

I usually shower twice a day, but always at least once and I always really scrub my nose with soap and sometimes turn the heat up on the water to rinse my face as I've read hot water is better for cleaning the skin.
Has had no effect. I saw a commercial once of a woman putting some paper on her nose and then pulling it off and a bunch of shit being stuck to it. I need that. |

That stuff does work pretty well. Just pop the thing for the quickest result.
I used to get them pretty bad on my forehead and I popped them every time. Two years of that and hot showers later and I like almost never get them anymore.
And if you're really that sensitive about it, coverup is always an option. It'll make that blackhead look invisible. |

I'm not sensitive about it. It's not that bad I think, just an annoyance and I'd rather not have them. And popping them is hard.
I want that paper.
Edit: Someone change my title to Brave Woman. |

I'ma make you a badge that says that for your sig.
It takes a brave woman to admit that she doesn't like her blackheads. Most women pretend they don't exist.
And if the paper doesn't work. You should totally do Proactiv. Jessica Simpson said it works so it must be a wonderful product. |

Yeah, I might consider using some cream to soften up the skin on my cheeks a bit. Feeling them now, they used to be way rougher. I guess it's cleared up a bit.
I don't like images in my sig that much unless they're really small. There was the exception when I was battling the onslaught of that prison show sigs with my Clint Eastwood one. |

Hm, I just wear lipstick because the color brings out the rest of my face. I don't wear it very thick or dark. Just enough to add a splash of color. Sometimes it's good for hiding slightly chapped lips, but it usually seems to "gather" in the cracks and makes it look worse if the chapping is too bad. :<
Sometimes if I have an acne breakout during PMS or something I'll use coverup, though. Which is awful, since coverup tends to make it worse. :b
Oh well, I don't use it to get rid of it. That's what rubbing alcohol is for. 8D _________________ FAC |

I wear cover up and eye liner. I prefer green or brown eyeliner. I get some blemishes and stuff on my face so I use a little cover up. Now that it's winter my face is so dry. I hate it. So I try not to wear much make-up this time of year. Makes my face burn. _________________ I have magical female powers

On a normal day:
Cover up for the bad areas
Pale pink blush
Eye shadow (either beige, pink, or gray depending on what I'm wearing)
Eye liner (always black or brown)
Mascarra
Lip gloss (nuetral pink)
On special occasions
Foundation
Coverup
Darker blush
Special white powder that adds highlights to apples of my cheeks
Gray eyeshadow carefully applied
Eye liner that goes all around (usually black)
Mascarra
Lip liner
Pale Cranbury lipstick
Darker Cranbury lipstick underneath the pale (gives the illusion of bleach white teeth.)
I'm very thankful that I don't go to many special occasions. |

Damn girl! You do all that for a special day! You gotta have to much patience man. I couldn't put up with all that shit. I have to respect a person with that kind of patience.
I wear makeup for work. Not a lot though. I hate putting all that junk on my face. Like a said, i don't have the patience. Sort of go by how i feel. Sometimes just a little mascara, or foundation by itself here and there to even out the skin tone. The mascara is cause i lack those lush, beautifully long eyelashes i dream about.
If i'm in a good mood and feeling like doing it up a bit more i simply put on foundation (strictly if needed and not the whole face, yuck!) eyeshadow, mascara. Ever so often some brown or black eyeliner. No lipstick, or gloss. I'm strictly a lipbalm girl. And the right brands make your lips look glossy if need be. |

Hmm, I think I'm right up there with you, Eclipse.
-The skin under my eyes isn't really bags, but it is dark, making me look like I use drugs or something, so I use cover up on that.
-My skin is always blotchy after I've just washed it, especially on my nose, chin, and skin around my eye brows. So theres MORE coverup.
-I always have on eyeliner and mascara. I think my face looks too plan without it... well, I'm actually slightly okay without it, but my friends always say I look scary...so I don't bother to go without it.
I try not to over do it...sigh. When I do have time, I wear a light colored eye shadow on the inside corner of my eyes. I don't know what it does, but it looks really good. |

I have acne, not a bad case though, and veins under my eyes. I don't regularly wear makeup and as long as my hair and clothes look alright, who gives a crap, lol. |
