Michael Monroe (hanoi rocks)
Taime Downe (faster pussycat)
Marc Bolan (T.Rex)
Dee Snider (twisted sister)
Tom Keifer (cinderella)
Nikki Sixx (motley crue)
Phil Lewis (la guns)
Donnie Vie (enuff z'nuff)
Kristy “Krash” Majors (pretty boy floyd)
Bret Michaels (poison)
C.C. DeVille (poison)
Brian Molko (placebo)
Stevie Rachelle (tuff)
Kevin Steele (roxx gang) if I have time for a 15th

Not really good on members of bands or their back storys Sad

You have people from most of the glam bands I listen to. Might have put in Sebastian Bach from Skid Row, but i'm not even sure that he would fit in with what you are looking for.

I probably would have done something like Lead Singers of the 80's, and put in some glam but some of my other favourites too. Mustaine, Hetfield, David Lee Roth, Freddie Mercury and would have just been able to squeeze in Robert Plant. Razz

You don't have to know anything about them, just what they look like. I decided to just focus on the ones who wore the most makeup 'cause it's the easiest visual theme.

Thus why Baz, Joe Elliot, Bon Jovi, Steve Whiteman, etc. didn't make the list.

Meh. The usual image people think of doesn't involve much makeup. Even though he was lovely in drag.

Yeah, he's usually the one people point to on my shirt asking if it's a woman. Or C.C.

But...Bret's more important. Sad Maybe if the idea is approved this week I'll switch Rikki in last minute.

I've pondered using him. He's in the maybe list.

Here's my dilemma when it comes to the Alice Coopers and Bowies and whatnot.

This is a communication arts class and the project is to make a printed book, hypothetically a product that would be sold, instead of a one of a kind piece like I make in Fine Art. The law is really really different when it comes to such things (well...suppose I should say different in how it's enforced, the actual laws are pretty much the same). Making a single painting of a celebrity is basically fine, there was a Tom Cruise thing in the senior show last year. But when you print a thousand copies and sell them, that's different. Potentially.

I just don't know how the teacher is going to enforce such things. I assume it'll be ok since one of the starting points was "people you admire". But...just in case...you can see most of the list is pretty vague and fame lacking.

I also scrapped a sketch of Bowie I was doing for the pitch next week and used Michael Monroe, Taime Downe, and Tom Keifer instead. Just in case. Then if someone else presents and JT says you can't use real people...I'll just slightly alter all of them and give them new names. Twisted Evil

....that was way too much explanation about why Alice isn't automatically on the list. Shocked And why Bowie may have to go. Crying or Very sad

I wish my scanner didn't suck, I wanna post my three concept sketches. I <3 them. Sexy bitches.

While on the subject of this project, we have to have two very different ideas with 3 sketches each. Here's two I'm leaning between. Which is more awesome for a book.

1. Personification of drugs as portraits. Not paintings of people ON the drugs, but OF the drugs. Like...personification of what heroin would look like as a person. Yeeeeah.

or

2. People with animal traits. Not ghey furries, but like if the animal was golden lion tamarins (ya know, those little monkeys with hair like mine) it'd be...basically a hair band dude with red hair. Only better thought out.

Keep the girly dude names coming too. I may have overlooked a super fag.
