I read a short story on it back in middle school. The meory is faint, but I think it had something to do with people becoming paranoid and they started accusing each other and stuff. I don't exactly remember. I know that there's a TV show, but it's on too late for me to stay up. I know I can Wikipedia it, but I'd rather get an explanation from someone here.
Thanks in advance for any help given. |

Twilight Zone: An "anthology series" where each episode is a separate, non-connected story narrated (and usually also written) by Rod Serling.
Because each episode is a complete story by of itself, the themes vary widely from one to the next. But in general, every story involves something weird happening, most involve some level of surprise, twist, or upset at the end, very few are actually what you would call a "happy ending".
For example, the "A Stop At Willoughby" episode involves TV advertising exec who can't take the pressures of his job and dreams of a peaceful town called "Willoughby" when riding the train to and from home, although everyone else says there's no such stop on the train's route. The guy ultimately is driven to a nervous wreck and decides that he's going to get off the train at Willoughby. But the town of Willoughby actually was just a dream, and in reality he jumped off the train to his death -- and his body was taken up by "Willoughby & Son" funeral services. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I see... I did recently see an episode on another channel (Stupid me for not realizing that.) which concerned a man who imagined some weird creature on the wing. Throughout the episode, the creature reappeared, its intent being to mess up the wing so they would crash in a fiery death. I didn't get the full details of the episode since my brother kept switching between that and Cartoon Network, so thanks for the explanation. Definitely interests me. |

That's the one with William Shatner, I think. _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

Nightmare at 20,000 Feet, yes, starring William Shatner. The guy was just released from a mental hospital, and he's worried that people will think he's insane. He eventually grabs a gun, opens the window and shoots at it.
The plane lands safely and he is taken back to the insane asylum. However, the wing shows some open panels and damaged internals, and it wasn't from the gun. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA
