one piece v.s. naruto

Actually, I think Naruto > One Piece in any fight. I will clarify the reasons in MY eyes.

In One Piece, the only cool characters are Sanj, Zolo and the Reigndeer. Everyone else is completely mentally retarded except for the girls. Also, I mean, COME ON. Mystical Fruit? How can THAT beat the raw power of Ninjas? In One Piece, you just throw youself in there with GumGum fruit or a sword, and hope for the best. You have no strategy, and I think the whole pirate theme is just stupid.

In Naruto, however, there is a story to tell. Behind all the characters, while everyone else's histories in One Piece is like this:
*Frank walks by Bob*
Bob: Hey Frank.
Frank: Hey Bob.

In Naruto, there are full episodes on the people, so you can actually get to know them, and not be throw into everything at once and be expected to love it. Also, in Naruto, there is emotion, fighting, love, friendship, STRATEGY*cough*, and many characters. In One Piece, they overdose it all, and it kinda makes me shuffle away from the Television. In Naruto, like SilverKitsune said, they actually have strategies make you go, "oh, interesting :0". Come on, you know you love the strategies. It carries out the fight, and make your brain twitch. While in One Piece, you throw your whole body into it and hope for the best, and if you didn't have ub3r 1337 rubber powahs, you would be turn into little pieces of Luffy.
I could go on and on and on and, yes, you guessed right, ON about Naruto > One Piece, but, I am too bored.

Ya. I think Naruto has [i]far[/i] more depth than One Piece in some regards. Especially fights. Mostly cause of the variaty of Jutsu and shit. They'll think things out and respond accordingly. In One Piece no matter what Luffy is up against he'll be primarily doing the same move everytime to stop it. So there's really no element of surprise there.

I don't know. I still think I find One Piece more raw because as predictable as it is, it's still fun to watch everytime. And clearly there's more character depth in Naruto. The thing is, you get the feeling that the story is never really reaching some sort of awesome escalating climax. You never feel like Naruto is getting any closer to being the Hokage even though he seems to be getting stronger. And everyone seems to treat him the same. While, One Piece's story is progressing well towards an exciting climax. Mostly because there are so many mysteries that are getting solved (Luffy's parents, Kuina and Tashigi's similarities etc) and the group is getting closer and closer to the treasure...

If I want to watch character depth and variaty and tactile combat that will make me feel smart than Naruto. If I want to watch raw violence and an exciting storyline than i'll be watching One Piece. Like I said before, it's really only opinion. Right now I favor One Piece maybe at 1% more than Naluto, though.

Well if you had read it than you'd realize I felt the same way about your last post.

But anyway, I guess you really hadn't seen anything much from One Piece if you have to look it up now, and jumped to the conclusion that Naruto was better, huh? Unfortunately, I bet it's that way for a lot of people. You don't judge an anime from the dub just as much as you don't judge a book by the cover.

FYI: I had seen it before it was on Cartoon Network, as well as Naruto. I didn't really like One Piece to begin with and I had watched it until a little after Sanji joined. I didn't remember exactly how the fights were, BUT, I remember Narutos being much more enjoyable to watch.

One Piece has no strategy. Luffy or whatever his name is always wins somehow with his stretchy arms.

Naruto >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> One Piece.

Epic fail. The Shonen series that provided the basis for nearly every character archtype in One Piece and Naruto (and almost every other Shonen series for that matter) as well as being stated by both series' creators as the main inspiration for them is Dragon Ball. How much fucking strategy do you see in that series? Practically zero. To say that One Piece sucks simply because the fights don't have strategy is nonesense and proves to me you know nothing.

I don't care if you respond or not. I've lost all faith I had in this thread after that bullshit.

This all falls on opinion once again.

I like fight scenes that are well thought up with some sprinkle of actual thinking to make that fight interesting.

Naruto gives me that.

One Piece doesn't give that to me.

Dragon ball Z fights can't compare to Naruto. All DBZ is, is brute fighting and energy blasts and seeing who can stay up that longest.

Refer to shikamarus fight against that one fan girls during that tournament. That's what I mean about strategy.

naruto hands down ive seen one pieces battles. they suck. All of Naruto's battles are great, I mean if you dont believe me go watch naruto's and sasuke's fight at the end of season five. besides naruto's animation is WAY better than one pieces, at least the girls on naruto have waistlines like normal people.
