I was looking around and noticed that theire was a lack in Fruits basket topics
so if you have any thing good or bad you can post them here! and no one can put people down for what they say about it!

I did a Fruits Basket topic, under a different username. When I was MysticBlade... or Jedi, I think. SilverKitsune, what's bestiality mean? I don't follow.

But, since there is a topic on it. I like it. I like the manga more than the anime, though. My fave characters are Kyo Sohma, Ayame Sohma, Saki Hanajima, Shigure Sohma. I like it for its humour and the contrasting dark tones. Shigure Sohma tends to make the mood seem funnier by adding his humour in it, and he's always fooling around. Kyo Sohma is drop dead handsome, and kinda reminds me of myself (hey- I'm a girl!!). The person I hate most in the manga is... Akito Sohma. Do I have to say why?

Do I have to say why?[/quote] I have to agree with you on every thing there, but i like the anime too alot because they add stuff to it that you dont see in the manga, but the down side to it is that they also tke out things that were in the manga!

*nods* Like the scene when Tohru first met Momiji was totally different to the one in the manga. Oh and thanks for the explanation on bestiality, SilverKitsune... I don't think of FB like that, though... kind of a disgusting thought.

Fruits Basket Rocks!!!!!!!! And I've only got the first manga volume!! My friend (inKorea now) was really into it so I decided to try it out.

I really don't see how you could hate this series unless you hate Shojo. Or are a straight guy.Which, if that is the case, I give you full pardon.
I love the way the author combines tragedy, comedy, and romance.
Admitedly, the whole thing is 100% girly-girl, but still. It's the first manga my mom let me buy...I've got up to volume 6 right now, but can't buy more for several weeks because I'm saving to go on a trip to Hawaii with my orchestra.
The anime, however, is only good if you haven't read the manga.
For one thing, many important scenes were taken out.
But stopping at the sixth book took care of that problem, although I really didn't like it stopping there with so much more series to go and two more zoidacs to introduce! I still don't know who the rooster and horse are! XD
Anyways, I think it's a beautiful story.
But I guess I can see why some people would dislike it.

Yeh, it was sad that the anime didn't last very long.
And all the stuff about sex was covered in both the anime and the manga, so don't get all weird about it, it's actually pretty funny.
Why couldn't they make Momiji German in the dub? That angered me the most.
My fave characters: Kyo, Momiji, Ayame, Akito and Hanajima.
