Final Fantasy movies (FMV's, CGI's, cinematics etc)

What are everyone's thoughts on the little movie sequences? (whatever you wanna call 'em) I mean, of course we all love them (even if we have to watch them again and again after losing a boss fight XD thank god for KH2's skipping option)

But I think that the in-game stuff has become so advanced that the movie things aren't really that much different. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but with the old games *FF7, FF8, FF9, basically anything before X and KH* you'd be all "WOAHHHH!!!!!!! THEY LOOK SO COOL!!!!!" but now it's kinda, "meh.."

They're all pretty well done. I don't really like cinimatics too much, though. I prefer cutscenes because it doesn't interupt the gameplay as much. Cinimatics at the into and conclusion are welcomed though.

Love them on FF12 and FF3.

I didn't play FF7 cause the grafics weren't very good. I know that's not a good reason to choose not to play it but, it made it seem like i was playing super mario brothers on the original nintendo.

I love FFX though. Love it. I need to play FF12 though. ):

Cut scenes and cms, i enjoy as well. (:

The FF ones tend to bore me. When I played FFX I got up to get food or something while the movie ran. That game seriously needs a skip button.

I liked the KH ones. DMC games have fantastic cut scenes, as did RE4. It's no longer a matter of how the movie scenes [i]look[/i], it's more like what is actually going on in the scene.

Ya. Those were actually pretty awful. But than again, they had to fight against Mario 64 which was really the staple of 3D at the time.

And the relevancy to the sort of game. Ever played Mario Sunshine? Yipes. Admittedly, they looked pretty good. But Mario was never known for it's use of voice-acting or in-game movies. So rather than add to the game, they really sorta detracted from it.

I personally like the high quality movie sequences, from FF8 on wards. I didn't like FF7 for graphics. Just started playing KH2 and think the opening is good.
