The only bit of respect I have for him comes from his recovering paralysis in order for him to play again.
Otherwise, I never liked his stuff.

He is very good, he is a sweep master, the fact that he plays after the paralysis is amazing, as long as he doesn't open his mouth he is ok. Still I don't really like shred so much....

Yeah, one reason I can;t dig him is the same reason I can't dig any of Rohads stuff. The guy was a racist, homophonbic, sexist.. a fucker. I can;t listian to music by those kinda people.

I'm gonna assume that was supposed to be Rhoads?

Randy was a classical guitar player who applied his skills to rock/pop, it depends on what you're listening to. I never cared for his instrumentals like Dee, but as far as songwriting goes...he was brilliant.

He was a douchebag who treated women pretty shitty, but that has nothing to do with his music.

Yngwie on the other hand...has a cool name and that's about it.

It's not that he sucks. He just falls into the "extremely overrated" category, where people love naming him one of the best ever when he's just one of the more popular names.
