Made as a counter to the Irritating Things thread. Those things in games you love for no real reason. You sit there and think, "Man, I wish more games had this stuff."

Option to Re-Do Boss Battles
Don't ask me why, just sometimes I want to replay boss battles again. Could be memorable, or just have the chance to see how I fare after being able to complete the game. Games like Crash Bandicoot had it laid down. You stand in a lift, hold down some buttons and you get taken to the corresponding boss. Top stuff.

Destroyable Environments
Red Faction was a godsend for this. The ability to blow apart close to anything. Of course, there has to be limits. You can't fight on top of a skyscraper and expect to blow a hole down to the bottom floor as a shortcut, that's too much. I'm talking about things like a bad guy hiding behind a pillar, and taking out the pillar apart with a shotgun. Of course, the enemy has to be allowed to do the same when you hide. All the more fun.

Bonuses for Special Kills
Getting some special item or onscreen message/sound effect for killing someone in a special way. Counterstrike's "HEADSHOT!" springs to mind. Or GTA2's "COP KILLER!" was a good one. Maybe that's what I get for playing Manhunt, I dunno.

Similar Weapons for Enemies

I dunno, I just like it when the enemies have similar/identical abilities and powers that you do. Doesn't seem very fun when they cast spells you have no chance of getting. FF7 bad guys had stuff like Aero3. Wtf? But things like the summoner boss from FFX. You only get Yuna, he has his summons. You have yours. Just seems a better idea to me.

Looking forward to hearing more from some other people.

I'm playing Star Fox Command right now and one thing I noticed that it doesn't have is health recharge before boss battles.

So ya. Pre-Boss Recharges. They rule. Even if it's a fight you would win anyway, it makes you that much more confident running in knowing the field is equal.

Versus Mode/Player-to-Player.
It was fun in Star Ocean 3, though a bit tiring, what with the free run which basically eliminated decent fighing once the one character's HP was too low...
But I've love to see this option installed in other games. :coughAbysscough:

Otherwise, the 're-do boss battles' extra would be sweet. Okay, so we get saves before big boss battles in my games and we do it anyway, but it would be easier without cutscenes, loading, etc. 9_9

That's 'bout all.

<3 That game rocked. For PC atleast. Sequel was a bit of a letdown though.

Free-roam
You kinow those games, that just let you do anything inbetween missions. Yeah, alright, GTA. But another game that did it just as well, as Just Cause. Games like those where you see that plane, and you know you've got to fly it. The best part is you can. You see that military base. You know you want to free fall right into it. You see that bump in the ground before that cliff going down 300 metres to a rocky end? Gotta jump that.
