Whats the deal with Naruto??

What is the deal with Naruto??? I mean everyone at my school who is in to anime and manga practicly drools over it. I just dont get it. like the entire show all he says is "believe it!" it drives me insane.
Now good anime is anime that you can just watch 4-ever!!!
like........... Tehchi, FMA, Excel Saga, Comic Party, FLCL(furri curri (HA!), Neon Genesis Evangellion, Chobits, Love Hina, A.I. Love You, Negima, Etc....

I don;t really like the anime that everyone flocks to.

You DO realize that most of the anime you listed there, are extremly popular :/ So people flock to it anyway.

Naruto attracts a lot of people because the characters are very appealing and everyone seems to find a ninja in the show that they can relate to on a personal level. Some people like Naruto because he's a mishevious little brat but only because he wants attention and admiration from the people who've hated him for no reason, others like Sasuke because he's been in pain all of his life and so he works hard to hide his anguish and wants to avenge himself. Sakura is an intelligent girl but is really just confused about herself and her importance. All the central characters in Naruto have something about them that just draws people to them. That's why people like it so much. Other than that, the awesome music & sound effects, the show is fairly generic.

I like Naruto, but I like the manga only, now. The manga is better to me, because it goes into more detail than the anime, and the artwork is pretty cool, even if a little simple at some points. There's also that classic manga humour in there, too, and I like those little sentences beside the main speech bubbles that aren't important, but give a sense of more of a afterthought to some sentence... umm... stop me if I'm confusing you all. Please.

Naruto is cool, because it is about Ninja. Ninja are cool. Naruto himself is cool, even though he brags a lot and acts immature, but like some post back, people can relate to him, and other characters. It's kinda like Spider-Man... that was ppopular (and still is, I hope), as people could relate to Peter Parker.

All anime and Manga have large fanbases. They need them to be successful.
Oh well. I geuss its all right (Naruto I mean). It would be boring to be the only one at my school who knows about the many different series in anime and manga.

Ya it's not One Piece where the dub is an absolute crime to humanity. Other than a spit of blood here and there, there's not too much difference.

I aggree with you. I somebody like a certain anime there usually isnt a damn thing you can do about it, expecially when ALOT of other people are interested in it.

oh and i like Saiyuki Reload the best.
