[b]Read[/b]. Your idea of the future [b]may[/b] depend on it:

A recent solar maximum might trigger a solar flare, which will destabilize the Earth's magnetic field causing it's rotation to reverse within 50 days. Its expected to happen in the year 2012. East will become west.

However thats not all. This rotation reverse would also cause alot of volcanic activity and earthquakes which will most probobly lead to the END of civilization as we know it.

But dont worry. The chances of this happening is 1000 to 0.00126579. Its suspected to happen, because it happened before at solar maximums.

If you repost this in four threads in the next two minutes the solar flares will make you able to see though walls. If you don't, The solar flares will visit you in the dead of night and kill you with solar radiation.

Earth's magnetic fields have been reversing since the dawn of time. The magnetic fields of carbon-dated geologic material change back and forth depending on what time they were created. I learned me that one in paleontology class last semester. The professors even had this big geomagneticy map showing the different pulls. None of the magnetic changes had anything to do with the five major extinctions.
