Except that the DS's battery lasts like 100x longer per charge.

So how far are you guys, anyway, and what do you think of the plot? I mean, aside from the usual pokémon hunting, League challenges and such. What else happens in the world of Diamond/Pearl?

I can't say for sure... I'm only three gyms in so far (I been taking my time training, trading, catching and breeding) but it seems good so far.

Team Galactic the evil 'Team' in this is kind of goofy. They're a bunch of people who have teal page boy hair cuts and silver space suits.

Hello, I couldn't help but notice a forum about Poke'mon Diamond & Pearl, which I reserved(I chose Diamond) and now have. I didn't notice how old these post are but I already have all the gym badges and am up to the Elite Fours. But I'm just leveling up my Poke'mon for now, oh and I chose Piplup. Smile

Pokemon died years ago, Didn't it? Why is it comeing back?!

I'm just waiting for next genoration treatment besides the DS. A Console title. Then the whole world will be crazy about pokemon again.

Emerald had the BEST pokemon storyline It was awesome. But yeah... Galexy is just kinda bleh... but the legendaries seem to have some pretty interesting backstories to them this time around. Stuff to do with like the creation of the universe and whatnot

Hey he kinda does XD Well maybe the creators were running low on ideas and figured if Disney could copy kimba then so could they XD

But I like Shinx handy one to have around, really powerful attack ratings. Mines actually a Luxio right now and almost ready to evolve to Luxray

Is he an electric-type? Electrics are cool. I've never, ever been able to appreciate the Water types, so I tend to favor fire. And since Waters are so common, you need a good Electric type around to back them up.

Yup shinx is an elcetric type. Doesn't learn many electric attacks naturally though, but his brute force more then makes up for it. He's an awesome physical sweeper, especially if you get one with the rivalry ability (autimatically increases his attack rating by 50% when you're up against an oppenent pokemon of the same gender).

I love electric types a lot myself they have not many weaknesses except against ground types. Though Shinx if bred properly (or given the right tm) it can actually learn icefang which gives it an edge over ground.

i like pure grass types myself. They've got alot of good natural resistances and quite a few types they are very strong against.

I happen to love dark and ghost types myself, especially the GenIII ones (shuppet and duskull evo lines). They're awesome <3 Dragon types are also uber powerful too (is currently draining a Bagon, it final evo has better base stats then several legendaries, and I got one that he flamethrower as an egg move so training has been a breeze)

Actually... I like pretty much all the types save for rock, ground, and poison simply because I find them to have too many weaknesses and not enough advantages.

Grass-type is a little risky with five weaknesses, one of them (Flying) being quite common. Aside from that, their ability to take out Waters, Grounders, and Rocks make them good protection for Fire-types.

But then again, Water and Flying are two of the most common types in the game, so while that's all Electrics are good for, it covers a huge chunk of the Pokédex. Hehehe.... Wink

Fire would be more useful against Ice if there weren't as many Water+Ice types, or fewer Ice-type pokémon able to learn Water-type moves/TM's.

People enjoy the game play, the creatures and the storyline depending on the game or series.
For others, it might just be a nostalgic part of their childhood.

I'm not a big fan, so I might be wrong
