Uh venom is not dead Eddie Brock maybe dead, but not venom, venom is the actual symbiote itself but I still think Eddie survived

Theory 1: The blast blew him off of the building (Note how the pipe are bent)

Theory 2 : parts of him fuse with venom when explosion takes place

The movie would have been alot better if Peter killed himself while trying to kill symbiote spiderman

without sandman it would have been even better.
of course I did have my issues

Sandman and venom at the same place at the same time ( ugh no)

Harry being killed by venom (Ugh double no)

Gwen Stacy even alive (Triple no)

Stan Lee ( I am getting sick of his cameos)

Eddie Brock seemingly defeated by an explosion (No he died of a brain tumor)

It could happen. But I have doubts about making a 5th one.
I doubt there will be a part 5. One more with Carnage would be excellent
It was officially annouced after Spiderman 2 that they planned on making 6 films.

after three, Tobey Maguire will be hard to keep. But it would be really awesome if they can. I don't want to see Lizard, but I'm sure they can make him cool. They were able to do it with Sandman, so...

If it goes six, i'm guessing we might see villains like Shocker, Rhino, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio, and Carnage. (spiderman villains have such cheesy names)

from wikipedia:
Movie characters that have not become villains yet

6. Gaunt / Dr. Mendel Stromm (portrayed by Ron Perkins) in Spider-Man

7. The Lizard / Dr. Curt Connors (portrayed by Dylan Baker) in Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3; mentioned in Spider-Man

8. Man-Wolf / John Jameson (portrayed by Daniel Gillies) in Spider-Man 2

They made the Lizard look pretty cool in the video games. And he was pretty fun to fight

Was Gaunt the Vampire?

Thomas Haden Church is sexy when he's all buffed out like that.

That was about all I cared about in the movie.

Don't know why the "series would die" without Tobey. Other characters like Batman and James Bond get switched up all the time. And as far as I know James Bond is still doing pretty well.

Tobey's a generic enough human being that I wouldn't feel slighted if they replaced him. He and Topher Grace could have traded places in that last movie and I wouldn't even have noticed.

Spiderman doesn't have the following James Bond does. And that series is ongoing and we all understand that, so it doesn't bother us that the lead actors change. James Bond will be going forever. And it will NEED new leads every decade. Through 44 years and 21 movies, there have been 6 lead actor changes in the James Bond series, and through just 5 Batman movies, there have been 4 lead actor changes...

And the 90's batman movies fail hard probably because they had 3 actors go through 3 movies in a 5 year span. I believe it was just the first movie that was successful.

The entire Spiderman lead cast is taking up 4 spots of IMDB's STARmeter Top 5 right now. So it's a given that the series could take a critical slump in numbers if Tobey were to not return. The stats would especially show in the loyal fan fallowing who consist of a younger generation than the Bond movies do.

Don't think that the 90's Batman movies started failing so hard because the actors were different, I think it was because of poor scriptwriting, directing, design, and because the actors they cast were terrible.

I'm sure you'd have a cloister of purists who would hate to see anyone besides Tobey play Spiderman, but I know for fact that there are a good number of people in their target audience who either feel completely indifferent towards the lead actor as long as they can pull off the role or never warmed up to Tobey and have been waiting for him to be replaced.

The Spiderman series may not be James Bond, but it's not like it's Inspector Gadget either.

Actually, it was the actors in the final 2 Batman movies of the 90's that made them so popular. Speaking of facts, the cast was made up of big names because the lead actors were replaced. Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Tommy Lee Jones, Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Uma Thurman, Jim Carrey and Alicia Silverstone were all well-known during and before the 3 or so years the movies were premiering and gaining popularity.

When you have a big and popular cast, usually the writing and directing make no difference, since the film now becomes a melting pot of entertainment value. In other words: no one went to see the movies for a good written or directed story, they went to see the many famous & pretty people.
but I know for fact that there are a good number of people in their target audience who either feel completely indifferent towards the lead actor as long as they can pull off the role or never warmed up to Tobey and have been waiting for him to be replaced.
There will always be the die-hard fan who just can't seem to be satisfied with any decision an organization makes with their hero, or idol, or whatever they think Spiderman is to them Confused Any chance you can link me to these facts? I honestly haven't heard or read anything similar to what you're talking about. "A good number of people" usually makes their voice heard or at least has some sort of impact with the other fans.

Anyway, the truth is, the number of fans who would actually not go see a Spiderman movie without him in it far out-weighs any number of fans who would go see it if he wasn't in it because he wouldn't be in it. After three huge box office successes, and the molding of a character on screen giving Peter Parker a virtually identical human counterpart (the best since the PG13 Wolverine in the X-Men movies) Tobey is the only one who can play Spiderman right. "Right" meaning his way, since he's the only box office Spiderman (unless you want to include this guy). And to be perfectly honest, Tobey plays an excellent Spiderman and an even better Peter Parker. And in my opinion, There is pretty much nothing that can be improved, especially by any other actor.

From what I've heard...

Spiderman will not die! He will go on and on as long as he makes money.

What they are/have planning is the Goblin Arc, the Symbiote Arc, then... The third Arc will be announced after SM 5. Since Stan Lee has so many villans for SM to fight it could go on for decades.

Also, imagine the Secret Wars on big screen! SM, F4, Xmen, Thor, uh, whoever else was in it(Been awhile since I read those comics) vs Dr. Strange, Doc Oct, Magneto, Uh, Galactus, and whoeever else was the enemies.

And why is everyone surprised that Gwen Stacey is still alive? Isn't this the first movie she's been in? She'll be Black Cat sooner or later you know, and her father died first if I remember correctly from the comics.

Geesh, want her to die before there is even a reason for her to die. Why not kill Harry in the first film even before his dad dies? Or have Ben Parker dead before the movie even begins if you want the people to die for no reason.

I think a total of 2 people wondered why Gwen Stacey was still alive... calm down.
Spiderman will not die! He will go on and on as long as he makes money.
Wrong, many people choose to leave a franchise regardless of the money they make. Some want more fame after they've gotten enough fortune, and so wish to move on to other projects. Look at Zach Braff, he's the lead in one of America's top television shows, yet the producers were barely able to keep him in the cast for one more season. They admitted that Scrubs can't continue without him in the lineup. And that's true, once he leaves, the show will end, because the numbers will drop.

This is true for every major one-man-show. Even though Scrubs is centered around more than just Braff (and has even had an episode where he starred for a total of just 3 minutes), they know the show can't go on without him. This is even more critical with Spiderman. Because the movie is centered around just Maguire as Spiderman.

And if you're saying "Spiderman" meaning the movie, and not the character/actor, then of course it will go on if it makes money. But it might not be making enough to go on if Tobey leaves. Have you seen the budget for Spiderman 3? To date, it had the highest budget of any movie, ever, at $258 grand (it's US gross so far is less at $240 grand). Imagine spending that much money on a movie that flops... if that were to happen to Spiderman, without a doubt they'd stop making the movies for a decade to take time to recover.

Anyone can be replaced, but history proves that doing so is a bad move when you do it in a series of this magnitude. Spiderman is among the all-time greatest movie series. Had the characters of Frodo or Aragorn been replaced, much of the LOTR's loyal fanbase would have been disappointed.

I don't doubt the makers of the Spiderman series have entire story arcs already planned and written out. It's their job to. But they still need a major cinema corporation to distribute their films to enough theaters to make enough money to pay the cost of making the film and the actors and everyone else involved in making it. And if they are going to go off changing aspects that many of the moviegoers are depending on, these corporations will drop them. Much as they did with the 90's Superman script that told a story of Supermans death.

Look at the 1994 Fantastic Four movie (don't, actually, it's terrible), after they made this atrocity, it took ten years to recover and gain any trust that another can be successful. But of course, no one is saying there can never be any other Spiderman movies without Maguire, the franchise is just too popular to be stopped. All I'm saying is that statistics and demographics will change, and it won't change for the better.

1. Felicia Hardy is the black cat

2. They probably did not kill her et in order to bing Carnage into play now that I think about it. It would make sense to do that.

(i still say either spiderman should have died trying to beat his darkself)

But I still think Eddie is alive
