I come out of the House of the Rising Sun.
In my hand lay the gun.
There is going to be a fight,

I hold it in my hand, the holster on my belt.
This is the Destiny I was dealt.
The trigger under my finger, the fire is at my side.
There is no place for you to hide.

In my mind I see an Eye.
It looks at you and you die.
Your death means nothing,
For you were nothing.
You were my sadness, my hate, my insanity.
I will not appeal to your vanity.
This is your death, you’re now dead.
You’re missing your head.

Your arms have abandoned you,
They each other slew.
Your legs are now trees,
Sunk in the Earth up to their knees.
Your eyes boil in their sockets,
Your hands rot in their pockets.
My gun is useless now.
It wouldn’t fire anyhow.

You are dead,
But you haven’t yet died.
Not until I’m dead will your memory,
Die with me.
So I will wait,
I won’t take your bait.
It’s my fate, my way,
To Die Another Day.
