Yu-gi-oh The Movie

Me and my best friend went out of curiosity and humor to see yu-gi-oh the movie....We must have bugged the whole theatre because we were laughing so much........We were kinda hoping that maybe yugi would die...but...

I like the storyline of the show...so I'm not saying its bad.....I just thought it was really funny that in the end kaiba almost blurted out bullshit...he said bull...but its a kids movie...so....anyway!! Telll me what you thought of it

i thought it was great!!! it was really funny, cause i like the show. i thought kiaba would die, ut hey. i still liked it!!

On "grown-up" scales and criteria, Yu-Gi-Oh! is one of the worst movies ever made. It received like a 2% score on RottenTomatoes.com .

Can't say I would be interested in seeing it though, so ignore me Razz

Who the FCUK are you to tell people where to go and what to post and what not to post.. The forums are here to post what you wish in whatever opinion.. As long as it is on-topic WHICH IT IS.. It has been rightfully placed in the TV & Movies category, so in my eyes, you have no ground to stand on telling people not to talk about movies here..

Get over yourself you dumb little kid.. Go watch your Yu-girlio programs and jizz over your TV while he.. gets another card or whatever the prick does..

well you know...I did name this topic title.."what do you think?" so I think that strata has a right to say that the yu-gi-oh movie sucked.....its open to people who hated or loved the movie....

Everybody is entitled to their opinion so long as they phrase it respectfully, especially in a thread asking "what do you think?" .

I must clarify that [b]I[/b] don't think the movie sucks. I don't know -- I haven't even seen it! Rather, since I'm not a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! to begin with, I have no interest in seeing a movie based upon it. No hate, no animosity, just no interest.

I did do some research though (that's what sites like Internet Movie Database and Rotten Tomatoes are for...), and it was rather amusing seeing the low score it got when measured using the classic criteria (plot, characterization, etc.) .

Of course, as many of us know, fans will overlook flaws in almost [i]anything[/i] related to the object of their affection....

So as fan movies go, it's can't be [i]truly[/i] bad unless the fans themselves don't like it. Which is rare, but has happened before with certain movies like [i]FF:The Spirits Within[/i] and [i]Super Mario Bros[/i].

Krimzon you seem to be the only "hater" in this thread. Everyone esle is giving opinions on the movie in question, you're just basically lashing out at Strata in my view, when he never even said he liked or hated the movie in the first place.

As for me, haven't seen the movie yet and I don't really plan to either.

EDIT: and your sig really is far too large, you should probably consider resizing it.

Now this is coming from a partial YGO fan. But I don't really think it was that good. Basically, it was just a giant duel between a posessed Kaiba and a usually annoying Yami no Yugi. <_< The villain could have been so much cooler if he hadn't been so freekin ripped. It was the kind of buffed that made you think DBZ. In other words, WAY to buff.
The plot almost put me to sleep. In fact, I did nod off a few times. One of my friends had to poke me with a spoon a few times to wake me up. Laughing

The songs could have been better. Another way I could say that is "They should have been japanese."

I give that movie a 1/10.

Dude, I ADORED Yu-Gi-Oh Back in the day. That movie was one of the worst ones I've ever wasted time watching. For one thing, why the heck were they all SHINEY? And other thing: THEY ARE HOLOGRAMS. Last time I checked, you couldn't stand on holograms, OR get stabbed by them. Just a thought.

I had good expectations for the movie. but by the middle i was asleep.2/5
