Meh, one isn't cutting it. Thinking about getting a second. A little hesitant though because i know i'll be tired all the time and more stressed. Not that i need much more than that.
I wonder just hwo many people here have jobs. I'd be surprised to see anyone fulltime except for maybe 3 people. |

I got two jobs one on the weekends and another during the week. It's more tiring than stressing for me. _________________ "I am now the Lord of the Land of Shadows and Dreams."- Sir Miles, The Prince and the Pauper.

I'm working one job that sometimes gives me full hours, but lately I've only been getting 30 hours/week. I think I want to get a second job for the mornings or something. _________________ |

Coldstone has been doing a Best/Worst program where those on the "Best" side will full time hours while those on the Worst are forced into part time pay that goes to minimum wage.
They put me in the "Best" side so now I'm working full time there with hopes of being promoted very soon. : ) If they do that then my pay should be enough to save up money for some important things. Like a car for instance. : /
Yeah, I know I'm a bit late on this. |

You work at ColdStone, eclipsedmoongoddess482? So does my sister! But she's quiting because she has to go to collage >_> So no more free ice-cream for me...
I'm too young to work at an actual job, yet. So I babysit, dispite my dislike of children ._. And they usually underpay me... |

She's pretty lucky actually. Most people I know hate the job because they ask you to do everything including cleaning the store, cake building, ice cream making, etc.
I just think that if I jump through hoops and keep focused as a hard worker, I'll have a good chance at getting that day-time manager slot thats going to open up at the end of the summer. : ) Less hours but a huge increase in pay makes up for it. |

She hates the job, actually. She gets the worst hours and makes less than minimum wage! My other sister wants to get a job there, but she's too lazy to fill out the application! |

The application is actually really easy to fill out and its all online so its not like she can't fit it in when she's surfing the web. Its probably the best kind of application for those who've never worked before because it doesn't ask for previous experience.
It takes like five to ten minutes at the most. Tell her to fill it out. Its a lot of work but if you're working with nice people then the job can be great. The whole reason I work there is because all my friends work there. Its a blast singing and dancing together and having soapy water capades in the back room. Oh and making web fortresses out of the bendy straws and finger painting with the bettercreme and peanut butter is great too. And if you're really daring, you can make alcoholic beverages with the smoothie blenders. Bonus points if your boss is actually cool and lets you do so. ; )
Ah Coldstone. Good times, good times. <3 |

If you mix all the icecream and mix-ins together, it tastes horrible. My sister tried it once. And then the guy she was working with ate the whole thing! |

Aren't you just special : - P
Eh, annoying thing is i could easily afford living in the midwest making what i do but out here on the east coast it's just not possible. If i ever get that promotion to store manager though they're training me for i'll be making roughly $50,000 a year. And that's based on what person who trained me made 5 years ago starting as a manager
I can't complain. Pier1 has treated me well. Hired me in as assistant manager with no retail background and after being their for 6 months i got a raise 3 times the normal (percentage wise) But this new store is a bit of a travel for me and it's killing me. But the regional manager said he's talk to his boss when i threatened finding a new job
P.S. I really don't much like eating ice cream and all but for a few times in just one year. But i'd kill for Cake one they have at coldstone. It's the shit. |

1 job. I don't know how long I'll be able to put up with it, though. I just started last week so I have the "I'm new and don't know squat" syndrome for a while. |

Its funny you mentioned that because on my first day I had a guy come in and order that. I argued with him for five minutes and finally he took out a five dollar bill as a tip so I took it and made that monstrosity.
There was a lot left over everyone I was working with took their own cup of it. It was all wasted though because it tasted like coffee and ass.
And Lasher, I'm the same way with ice cream. But I can't stand Coldstone ice cream. Its really fake and made with these fluid-filled bladders of cottage-cheese smelling liquids. One whiff and the magic of Coldstone leaves you in one stinky moment.
And there's a new flavor called Sour Apple Gummy Bear Sorbet that isn't a sorbet. Its an ice cream but we call it a sorbet to make it sound healthy I guess. It feels like what you would get if you melted styrofoam and froze it. I know thats a weird description but if you saw it, you'd agree that that is the only way to describe its texture.
It tastes like sour apples at least but it melts in the mouth in a weird way, like slimy, gooey, not-tasty kind of way.
And I have to go back on Wednesday. : ( |
