The reason I gave up beef and pork was because I read "Fast Food Nation", the part where it described a slaughterhouse. Not pleasant, let me say.

I just hate when PETA and whoever blames farms for being cruel and junk. Especially when they say something like that about a dairy farm, of all things. My dad grew up on one, I grew up visiting one every week for my whole childhood, and there's nothing wrong with the way a local farm raises and cares for their dairy cows ;(
Actually on the mass production farms there is cruelty, but who really cares?
It's just a bunch of animals.

Humans actually have rights to kill animals.

Laws of nature:
Strong kill weak.

Animals = weak.
Humans = strong.

Ack, I had something in there about mass production farms, but I re-wrote it and forgot. Yeah, those places are bad, but a lot of people crack down on farms in general. Like, local.

We can eat any animal, and it is healthy as long as it's not a carnivore. Carnivores carry many toxins in their body that are multiplied because of eating other animals with the toxins in their body. Take mercury poison in fish, for example.

Nowadays, it's getting less healthy to eat fish, whereas way back when, fish was the healthiest meat you could eat. Now most fish are being affected by the estrogen going into lakes from women taking birth control. More fish are being born females.

Me, I'll eat my chicken, turkey, cows, pigs and fish because I need it in my diet, there's no way I'm going to eat like, 5lbs of veggies a day just to get all the things I'd need from one serving of meat.

Well then, meat isn't required.
We're in a time where we can get good food without raising another animal on antibiotics.

Yes. You know how sewage treatment plants treat the water and gradually put it back into lakes? The treatment doesn't remove estrogen.
anyone noticed that we are not designed to eat vegetals and plants?
We're designed to eat both meat and plants. This is why we have incisors, molars and canines.
While canines and molars are a carnivore tooth combination, incisors and molars are a herbivore combination. The fact that we have all of those kinds implies we're omnivores.

I've always thought our carnivorous teeth have kind of come down to a level where we couldn't use them to kill other creatures very well.

Not if you eat the right veggies.
Most Americans get more protein then they need, anyways.

Vegetarians usually have bad gas and get bloated a lot Smile .

See, the problem is that you have to eat a whole lot of nuts and beans to equal one piece of meat, and vegetarians will have to eat quite a lot more than omnivorous people, or take a lot of suppliments.
