Well, if that's what you mean, I don't get whats the big deal about it.
I'm not going to edit a whole bunch of stuff into an earier post just because I have something else to say 10 minutes later. That is rediclous.
And I'm not doing this to spite you....I was actually going to talk about something else:

Anyway, good to hear that they're still linked to this site. I didn't really think they wouldn't be, but ya never know.

And please remember I'm playing devils advocate here...It's a reasonible point to bring up.

Actually, admins can't unblock (you get the buttons, but it doesn't work at the moment)

I'm a big fan of if a button appears it should work, or if it shouldn't work it shouldn't appear in the first place.
(you get the buttons, but it doesn't work at the moment)
Oh, I see. The way the blocking/unblocking URL's are constructed, it only works on your own blocklist. I can live with that, but in that case admins shouldn't see the "Unblock" buttons on another user.

Oh, and the buttons that appear along the header row for a picture, they need to be organized better.

How about organizing them like this?

Viewer level functions on the left, self-level functions in the middle, staff/admin level functions on the right.

Or something similar, where there's at least some visible dividing space between each group.

Also, since we now have the "Add/Fave artist" option displayed on user profile pages, do we really need it anymore on individual submissions?

I was browsing through FAC's main site, looking through some artists art and was struck by an idea.
What if FAC had ranks and titles for its users. These would be based on the number of votes, comments, pieces of art, ect. that the user has.

More so, special ranking for those users who have had featured art on the front page and so on.

What do you think about this?

Also, the "Add/Fave artist" on the user's page as well as the user's submissions, I would see as ease of access to the other users.
I like the organization of the user level icons.

I think that all art should either go through the approval system, or should somehow be viewed by the moderators, so that all artwork has a chance of being featured and doesn't have to rely on whether or not any given user who sees the artwork knows about the Featured Art proposal thread and actually suggests the work be featured.

But making sure all the art goes through a panel of moderators would be a pain, and would take a lot of time that most aren't willing to spend.

The idea is a good one, though. So instead of having all the art go through a panel, or waiting for a small few to put the art up for review here on the forums, Why not just make a system to let a user put a picture up for the featured art section.
Similar to the icon system for faving and and voting.

I like that thought too, but it would open us to a form of discrimination.

Blade makes me laugh,

a lot.

I'ma charge mah WATERMARK.

edit:
AP would be a lot faster if Denis somehow worked magic with flash so each picture's approval takes y or n and it goes over to the next picture.

Probably bad for the dial-up fags but whut, who uses dial-up nowadays.

I'm lactose intolerant.

Only then every user would see something they like and put it up there. And we'd end up with poorly drawn Sonic art all over the front.

Is that why the automatic approval thing was put in place? 'Cause it was too much work to look at every single picture?

I'm not to sure about that.
What I meant there was that there would be a panel to look them over, but based on the number comments and good votes, ect. we could make the system a little more automatic.

Watching tentacle rape porn is one thing, drawing is another.

I second that. People aren't going to be encouraged to get any better unless they post their grabadge and get flames and suggestions, as well as encouragement to improve.

Lolz. Blade tends to do that doesn't he? XD

and it's rediclous to approve every piece of art. It takes the approval panel too long as it is already. It doesn't need any more stuff to shift through

Though I love the idea of a button to recomend art for features. That would be beyond awesome.

But when I flame, and even when I critique, my comment privileges go away.

half of these people who posted won't be here if select group of people decided to nitpick on what's allowed and what's not.

Do you see the biased selections of featured art? that's because there's only half a dozen people who does AP/and can feature stuff, if we actually decided to allow only "good art" in here, it's gonna be Furry Fiesta Friday, Everyday.
