If they like it enough, they will feature it. Things in this thread are just proposals; they aren't automatically featured. Just because someone thinks your art is good enough for the front page doesn't mean that it actually is. Go improve your art instead of pestering staffers.

Mainsite features are not chosen by a group consensus (since we never had any, nor could ever reach one), so it's currently the luck of the whomever-is-online-at-the-time.

(I may prefer fantasy and anthro subjects but I'm also pretty picky about [i]which[/i] ones I like and [i]why[/i]; and I'd rather see a variety of material featured on the mainpage than five of what I personally like.)

Either way, I apologize to the staff for bothering them (although, thanks to Strata for helping me get closer to understanding the thought process EDIT: or not), and I apologize to the non-staff for seeming obnoxious.

Sadly, lacking a group consensus is one thing, but there was for a wile a severe lack of intrest in the features as far as featuring any thing because noone felt the need to use the subject in the staff aria after a large hand full got shot down abrubtly, with good reason. Thankfully intrest seems to be picking up again a bit, a few who wheren't talking before are getting back into it and two of the biggest hinderances are gone.

Still dosen't change the fact that I am resposeable for three of the last five and it shows despite the fact I don't feature by preferance.

Not the case, Papercut_Dragon had a image featured before and was well recieved, I remember it, it was a painting of a person holding a Playstation controller.

as for why the girl licking her copmuter moniter (or whatever it is), I do not know It predates my being added to SH.

Oh and just to be through, one of the most predominate shoot downs is "not enough works in the gallery of the user" This is done as sort of a preventative measures on theft and impersonation, A lesson I learned the hard way. I'm still kicking my self in the ass for featuring an imposter.

So users may wish to refrain from suggesting images from users with fewer than say seven or eight images in their gallery. Just a suggestion.

Features on the main page are shown by date submitted, not by date featured, none of those will show up on the main page even if they are to be featured.

I say still suggest the older ones. They will still show up on the featured art page even if they don't show up on the mainpage.

Most of the active site helpers in this site are men in their 20's who stack shelves and kick children for living.

and no, I don't think your second pic should be featured, mostly because it's out of place with the rest. It's good, it's not excellent, and it's not fanart.

There's way too many non-fanarts in this site.

#632201? I dunno. It's good lineart, coloring needs to be darker, but I really don't like how that watermark looks like something applied via MSPaint.

I know it's not a solid reason, just my first reaction. GoodOlAxel's pretty consistent.
