Do any newbies feel a little uncomfortable here anround the people that have, let's face it, been here for about....FOREVER! (No offense guys, I've looked at some of your art and you guys are really good Laughing

) But be honest guys, I want to know if I'm not the only one

And when you say your intimadted by those of us who have been around a long time. Do you mean in the forums? Or on the main website where all the art it?

And what would you call "ebing around here along time" or what not for example?

lol. I wasn't taking it personally. Nothing you said was offensive, so why would i?

I was just curious as to whether it was the forums you were talking about or what that's all ^_^ *chuckles*

And in all truth, your the first "newbie" i've met who is intimidated by the older members. Most of them are just out right rude and expect to much from us to soon.

Any idea how many newbies come complaining on how they don't have a personal status! <_< It's annoying. You have to earn that, people don't seem to realize that. *chuckles* so many things newbies are toward us that you are not.

You should get on fine around here i would think. You seem all right by me so far ^_^ That came out sounding funny, oh well.

When I first signed up, you could probably call me intimidated. I took a look around at just about all the forums, and attended several threads to get an idea of what the other people are generally like. I made a few responses to threads of interest, but didn't start any topics of my own for about a week and several posts. No blatant "n00b" things like starting a new thread for questions that have been asked a million times before, etc, or just to say "Hi I'm new here!".

It's really a matter of respect when people come in new and start acting like they've been around for months. Especially when they give that "I've got so and so many posts! I should blah blah blah blah"

Yeahh, right. And where do they all got that number of posts? the RP threads that's were <_<

By standards of this place, you have been here that long Fallen. lol. If you put together the math of how many people come and leave in a year. etc etc. Denis said this site was made sometime in 2001 on. Didn't you come in late 02 or early 03? I came in late 03 i know that.

And in all truth, by actually age my dear Fallen, we are some of the oldest. I mean, look at the average age of people on this site! There are so many 12 and 13 year olds! T_T Now i feel old. I'll shut up now.

Late '02. Posted in early '03 I think. I just remember there were such few pictures in the list every day and instead of just the last three days, you could look waaaaaaay back in the list.

But compared to other places I've been, I haven't been here that long by my standards.

Edit: and now that we've posted, anyone else who did feel the same as this original post won't because they're too intimidated. Uneasy

God. My first post was asking how to post a picture, I couldn't on my computer because it's messed up, and because of the "logging in" problem that was going on. I was just confused.

I felt the same way when I first joined late last year. The last thing I wanted to do was bug anyone or feel like I was interupting them, but the truth is is that everyone here is very open and accepting of others' opinions. Welcome to the FAC forums! That reminded me of that user 'Grissey', who came in with 23 posts and kept asking when he would start moderating. wasn't he suspended again for that?

He was suspended with a few things taken into account. That being one, and him telling always reminding the moderators on how to do their job right.

I'm happy to say i suspended his ass. To bad it's only til July 6th. Oh well, i'm sure he'll give us another reason when comes back.

And the official forum help, under the question of "can I become a moderator?", says "most of the time the answer is no, but ask the moderator." Maybe it should also say "asking repeatedly is a good way to guarantee that the answer is no".

The funny thing is, it's beene easier to get along for us since you guys know what I look like, but I'll assume that's just a coincidence Wink

But there are no problems right now, although I kinda miss the days we were flaming each other over every small detail we could think of. There was always some topic to argue in back then, and now I just hang around sometimes giving my opinion or making a dumb joke nobody understands, but it doesn't feel as involved as it used to be.
