I bet you guys woud never guess what kind of pet I have. Drum Roll please! ...........................................................................................................
I have a pet.....
RAT!!!!!!
Really, they're just like mice but bigger....and alot smarter. ^_^
I think I might have a picy of one of them....
But first! Here's a little story. (i'll make it short.)
We got Gabby the lab rat. (girl)
She was lonely.
We got Isabel. (girl)
Isabel was pregnant.
(diagnosed before we got her)
7 baby rats. (they look like little grapes, they're soo small!)
3 girls, 4 boys.
kept one.
Faye Valentine. (faye-faye for short.)
Two died. (Gabbyand Isabel)
Stuck with Faye. She's nice now though.
Ok, I found a picture of Gabby, this one shows how curious she is.

I had a couple of rats. The first two I bought were babies. I called them Marshal and Hailey. I couldn't really keep them though.. so i got someone to take care of them for me for a week... but she left them outside in their cage... it was december... they froze to death.
Then I bought the BEST rat ever. He was black and sooo cute. He was already full grown when i got him.. not sure how old though. Not that old.. anyway. At first he was really pissy with me, obviously he must have been scared. But it only took a day and he had chilled out. I named him Shady. He was sooo damn smart and nice. Never even tried to bite me once. I got him one of them balls for hampsters.. which is really stupid cuz he was too big for it.. but i tried. i took him to the park and had him try to roll in it.. but when he couldn't roll I let him outta the ball.
When I would let him out he would actually stay with me and not run away. When he did start to get too far I would call his name and he would run back to me. No joke.. this was a smart rat. Once again though.. I couldn't keep him. And I regret ditchn him.
Now I have a stupid cat. Dumb as hell... took this cat months to learn his name and respond to it. Anyway.. his name is tommy. here's a pic. _________________ |

Yeah, I have two cats, Binx and Missy. Missy is a trooper. She once as stuck in a tree for a week in the middle of December, and survived with only a frostbitten ear. Then she went on a 'six week wieght watcher vaction.' She left in June, came back in late July. She only wieghed about 1/3 of her regular weight.
As for Binx... he was cute. Notice I said he was cute. now he's just an anoying little bastard. (most of the time.)
Heh...Gabby was too rambuntious (sp?) to be able to sit still for more than about...2 seconds.
When I said Lab rat, I meant that she came from my sister's campus science lab. She was a breeding rat. My sister's friend worked in the lab, and saved the little ratties from being killed once they were done experimenting, so she gave her to my sis.
She's was soo cute. She died from a case of ovary and bladder cancer. The night before she got put to sleep, she had gotten a stroke that paralized her legs. She couldn't walk. She was miserable. The next day, when I was at school my mom took her to the vet to be put to sleep. All that I know is that she was a very happy rat, and had a good life.
We think that Isabel died shortly after that because of a broken heart.
Here's a lesson. Don't use animals as testers, make them have babies, and them just plan to kill them once they're no more of use. It's just wrong.
Sorry this post was soo long. |

I have one cat named Spaz. I think there's something wrong with him because he runs into walls a lot. But he's a cute lil cat. Just not really very bright. _________________

Well, I suppose I'll post up my two cats.
This is Mousie. She's about 7, but we'd raised her from a kitten. Bottle-fed and all. Really sweet when she wants to be, but has an attitude. Tends to fight. A lot. Always has some cut or bruise or bleeding wound to tend to when she gets home.

And then there's Speckles. What can I say about her? All she does is SLEEP. Scaredy as any cat. Runs from her own shadow, that one.

I have other pets. Two Zebra finches, two parakeets, and a rabbit. You can see pics I've drawn of the birds in my section under "Critters".

People who don't like rats annoy me Mainly cuz i want one and my guy would never EVER let me have one. Rats are just so cute and so smart. I have no clue why kids want hampsters when they could have a rat. I'm actually scared of hampsters... but like rats. _________________ |

Um, yeah, i dsilike rats, for goods reasons. One, we've had a rat problem since last summer at our parents since this one family moved in, who's daughter i went to high school with, and older son was in ym sculpture class before he graduated and left. Any how, the son would be home every weekend from art collegem and he's have huge parties, and besides the noise pissing me off, there would be cigarette butts all over the f**king place. even over in front of our apartment ! And they had beer bottles all over the place, and weren't throwing s**t away. And i live RIGHT in front og a train station that leads from our nice little suburb into NYC. Those f**king rats from NYC follow the tracks, and if they find any trace of food near them, there they go. So last summer we started seeing, hearing them.
I was almost bitten several times when i went to put s**t in our dumpster out back (i live in a very small apartment lot. big apartment, but small number, only 8) and those f**king things can jump like s**t! I couldn't even lay out last summer because everytime i did, i hear shti and turn around and there would be two rats fighting at the fence over something they found in the dumster area and would drag it down by us. We live at the very end, the driveway leads up behind the apartments down to ours. And the dumpsters is inbetwee all the apartments. Motherfuckers pissed me off like no other.
Than my cousin, he had so many rats, and that bastard would through them on you. Scare the s**t out of me when i was little. i remember once one of the rats died. And he got a lego set and built a medievil wagon out of it and taped it pulling the dead rat on it, across his house, and then he sprayed a huge circle around the damn thing in his room with hairspray and s**t, and lit the f**king thing on fire. His mom flipped. He was stupd pyscho spoiled child. He use to light fire crackers in the house and throw them at her feet! dumb f**k.
So yeah, i don't mind people having them, i just really prefer not to be around them.
I've grown up all my life with dogs around me. Specifically German Shepards. This is the first time in my whole life i've been without a dog and god is so f**king depressing...seriously... Andi really have a huge dislike to toy dogs and such. That one is this threa.d *shudders* my neighbor has one of them. you can't walk past their apartment on the sidewalk without hearing it barking. And if they are near by and i'm walking past, she tries to follow me barking and s**t, god is it annoying when small dogs bark. They always call her back and pamper her. Someday i'm going to kick that damn dog like a football if it comes near me enough <_<
i've also had cats all my life. First we had one when i was born, then i found a kitten at my friends house down the block. It was homeless and they were pushing it out of their bushes with brooms an s**t. only mexican family in town, and they were nice, but god were they ignorant and mean to animals <_< pissed me off, so i got off my bike, left it there, and walked home in the rain with him. We kept him.
Then i moved, to england. got a new dog there, three cats. Meeko, Bageria, and Spaz. The dog's name was Kahn.
Then we moved back to the states, new pets. 3 cats. Simon, Ally, cleo
Pictures attached later. |

If it's any help, my mom keeps a box turtle.
...which I have to clean, feed, and walk. So does that make him mine?

I completely agree. At first, when my sister told me that she was bringing home a rat, I was a little confused, but once you actually see them, they're Realy cute. |

I could understand that. But it's different with most rats. Was it a 'wild rat' that did it? |

Well, that's ok. Wild Rats are scary. I'm glad I have cats in some ways.
....Except that part where they completely distroyed the population of chipmunks in my backyard and woods behind my house....
Oh well O_- |

Yay to the kittydom....yeah! I love cats. Dogs are ok, but some can be really stupid. I hate ones that tackle you and try to lick you to death. *shudders* gross. Once, I was in the kitchen, when my mom saw a huge dog running across our yard. when we looked through the back porch, (we have a wire screen on it) my cat binx was clutching onto it at the very top and the huge dog was right under him. Mind you, he wasn't even barking. It was wierd. But we scared him away. My mom had to get a chair to stand on so that she could pry binx off of the screen. After that he was relaly paraniod. We would be in my living room, and I would be watching tv. I would make a move, like just positioning myself a different way, and he would jump a couple inches in the air. It was funny as hell. |
