Either you have a very old computer or a very slow Internet. Are you trying to post pictures on your profile? |

No just trying to change my info. It does that on every computer on both firefox and Internet explorer. I thing it might be a page glitch. |

The server shouldn't be able to freeze your computer. There must be something wrong with your computer. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

Here's specifically what's going on....
I've tried numerous computers. My own, computer lab, library. I've tried it back at home where I had dial-up and on-campus 2 hrs. away on Firefox. I get the same results. Before it didn't freeze my computer, it just typed scrambled letters where I deleted text and when I saved it, my text didn't update. A pop up saying stop script with a continue and cancel button. If I continued my computer would freeze for a few seconds and repost the pop-up until I canceled. I could change stuff like my name occupation ect, but not my profile text. Now It doesn't even do that. It automatically freezes as soon as I click edit profile and it says that my connection is not responding. At that point the only thing I can do is manually unplug my computer.
I've never seen any glitch like that before and when I first started using this site I didn't have any problems. I think it's some kind of virus or glitch on my profile encoding. I'm using a Dell that's about $2000. I can send messages
Is there anyway an admin can log into my account and try to change my profile to see what I mean? |

The last time I saw that error message was a long time ago. I think it was caused by one of the ad scripts, but it was so long ago that I don't know if it still applies these days.
Your profile page is lagging on my computer, too, but not to the point where Firefox has to suggest an emergency abort on whatever Javascript happens to be running. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I see that error message maybe once a week, and only on this site. I actually saw it earlier today when I clicked on falconlobo's search thread. It lags my computer for a bit, but then the error window pops up. It's not too much of an annoyance, so I've been ignoring it.
d_wolv's profile looks and loads fine for me. _________________ Go Yankees! |

The symptoms you are seeing sound like the spell checker. Turn it off.
the "pop up saying stop script" I've seen happen from the intellitext ads on very large profiles, but I"m mostly changed them so that doens't happen anymore.
I have no idea why anyone would get them on the forums. The forums don't have much JavaScript. I'd check your computer for spyware/browser hijacks/etc. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

I disabled your spellchecker option and fixed a few issues with the URLs entered in your profile field (URLs must be prefixed with http:// )
Strangely, I did not notice any improvement from my side.... _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA
