We used to have a very similar, veering on identical, music taste, but we've branched off so differently. I'd be more into the new pop than any new metal.

Aww fuck man. It's a must, especially for someone who loves Oblivion; the actual fighting is better than Oblivion. Horseback fighting can be done also, and climding building is well fun.

It's a mix of Spiderman, Oblivion and Prince of Persia.
